Re: auto-shot aim
Some interesting thoughts here about auto-aim... I've never used it because I want to be responsible for shot location. Yes, if you spam shots to the corners on a slow AI you will eventually watch some hit the back of the net. But even with manual aim the attributes, player positioning etc. of each particular player plays a role in the success of the shot. If I didnt want control over the actions of the hockey players on my screen id just buy a sweet nhl highlight dvd and hold my controller while I watched, occasionally flicking the right joystick. No, but seriously, I see plenty of variety because I've found that mixing up your approach on net and with the goalies location allows for more scoring chances. Tip of the day: mix up your slides so the cpu netminder learns your habits and adjusts, thus, forcing you to do the same.
