Don't know if anyone care's but I found some great PC Mods for this game at www.doubleminor.net that makes this game pretty fun. It was unplayable until I made the necessary changes. You need Iam's ultimate mod 1.2 or 1.3 and the new rosters.

Yes I just found that site myself and it's awesome. I'm waiting for the admin to allow me access to download the mod since I just registered today. Those who are using that mod are getting very realistic results even with 15-20 periods.Originally posted by ohiost

I'll be checking this out as well. I've seen the mod but I've bee playing 2K6 on XBOX. It sucks cause 06 on XBOX would be fun if there weren't so many goals. 7-5 is okay every once in a while but not every game. I hope this mod really helps cause the skating engine is phenomenal and the game looks fantastic.Originally posted by ohiostComment

Pretty much fixed! I only scored once on the goalie with the mod, they are smarter poke check the puck if you get in front of the net. They also don't squat like they use to before the mod which result in a easy score. Over on the forum some say you might get 5 goals on a particular goalie but that's now rare.Originally posted by spectralfan

I've read that with these mods the game plays completely different. One guy at doubleminor said that it was like night and day when comparing the modded PC version compared to the PS2.Originally posted by spectralfan
It's frustrating when you see "regular" people making a game better. Why couldn't EA do this? Do they pay attention to the mods and use them as suggestions or things to add for next years installment?

Money99, I think your taste in a hockey game and mine are pretty similar. I picked up a copy of 06 for the PC and installed IAM's mods, and while it did improve the game it was far from perfect. I still feel 2004 is better than 06, with or without the mods.Originally posted by Money99
With the mod, the goalies still flop waaaaaay too much. It's better, but still far from normal. The CPU passing is still too fast and too tape-to-tape, and the majority of their goals are still scored by one-timers.
Not to slight the mod makers as they have done a phenomenal job, but the game is still quite flawed when compared to the 2k series. If you like to play more of a realistic, sim-style game that is.
