Yea his hair is looking alittle bearish, and also I believe the ice/snow adds to the bear look.

They had a ton of player posters for NHL 10 at the Community Event, and this is just one of them they had. Unless there has been confirmation from EA, I wouldn't necessarily assume this is the true cover athlete at this point.

You'd think they'd go with someone with a physical element to his game, considering the emphasis on it for 2010... Who has a high enough profile to be a "cover athlete", yet has enough sandpaper in his game to fit the profile?

The first names that pop in my head are D-men -- Chara & Pronger. Chara might be cool, but I have a feeling Pronger wouldn't be a popular choice...

Zdeno Chara
- Big, tough, wicked shot, possibly the Norris winner

Tim Thomas
- (great story about his parents pawning their wedding rings so they could pay for his hockey)
- I'm sure he'd be an awesome guy pimping the game

Sedin Twins
- teamwork and strong board play
- just thinking of marketing the gameplay

Don Cherry
- year of the enforcer? hmmm Don approved?
- will never happen but I'm not sure there is a high enough profile tough guy for the cover...ala the day of Probert

True about the twins....also Chara might be edged out by Green for the Norris. Might be a really close vote this year.
