I'll start with Nabokov and then add to the list when more screens are released.


-Stick Tape should Team Colour and come up just above the Heel

-The Nike symbol on the one95 shoulde be white not grey

-The "Bauer" on the one95 should be Black not grey

- Blocker is the wrong color, they are supposed to be the other way around

-The "Vaughn" on the blocker should be black not grey

-Pads are wrong color they should be switched around

-The Velocity symbol should be white not black

-Glove should have the team color pattern in it

We shall start with the Obvious

-Pads are the complete wrong color, should be white not red makes me laugh though. He actually practiced with these pads last year

- He doesn't wear the V2 Icebergs he wears the heavily moddifed V'3, I doubt the team can make the changes so...

- Again his blocker is white not red

-Uses same pattern on his blocker and glove

-Vaughn on blocker should be black not red

-Uses team colored one95 stick

Yea, but is it really that big of a deal? Especially with the Nabakov one. The "Differences" were not that big...

Yea, but is it really that big of a deal? Especially with the Nabakov one. The "Differences" were not that big...

Um ya it does make a difference, if the NHL team wants to make this a sim hockey game they have to make the players look like themselves this includes goalies.

Goalies change their pads a lot. So you can't expect them to have them always right. And the Nabby one looks pretty sweet to me.

1000% disagree. They want to make the game PLAY like sim hockey. That doesn't include making sure the tape on the stick goes up to the correct place for each player.

Oh gods, his tape isn't in the right spot! Cancle the game till we fix this game breaking event! They want the game to PLAY like sim hockey. I'm pretty sure 99% of people aren't going to care if the tape on a goalie's stick isn't 100% acurate.

You're mixed up. Dressing players up to look like their real-life counterparts isn't sim hockey. What you're talking about is Hockey with The Sims.

I agree, the OP about the color of the stick-tape is ridiculous. Although, I hoped they would make an effort to get the art on goalie masks at least for the starters looking authentic.

I still don't get why tape positionis such a big deal. Many players tape their sticks up diferently and NHL does not capture that, no big deal to us.

Does Ward's pads look off? Yea. Let me tell you though, The Nabakov is pretty damn accurate.

Obviously these don't seem like a big deal, because goalies have so many different components to customize, but why not make them realistic if they have the information to, it doesnt take very long. Goalies have so many customization options, it's barely noticeable in some cases, but what if ovechkin didn't have a tinted visor, selanne didnt have his bubble helmet, or crosby had an actual beard instead of his little pube stashe. These would all take away from the gameplay experience, and personally I would like to see players as realistic as possible, even having only half the blade taped for ovechkin, and the yellow laces hanging from his pants.

And for those of you who say that the whole sim thing is just game play, it's not. The gameplay can be great; which it looks like it will be this year; but if your favorite player has something wrong with their appearence, you're going to notice and it will take away from the game. Goalies might not be the favorite players of many, so you wouldnt notice, or even care about what pads theyre wearing, but what if it was something you would notice? It would just seem weird to me.
