Freezing problem?

just picked up the game today as part of the toys r us deal. started be a pro, and the game is constantly freezing on me. Usually they show a cut-a-way of the goalie and it freezes, one time it froze at the end of the game. Is this a known problem or did I get a bad disc?

Also, is there anyway to skip making a player every time you start the game up...it's really annoying.

Ps3 or 360. Sounds like it might be ur system. If it's on a 360 2 things to try:
1. Clear your cache. If you go to dashboard-my xbox-memory it gives u the option to clear your cache. This worked for me when NHL 09 kept freezing on me.
2. Try saving the game on your hard drive and playing it from there. Not an expert by any means but I believe that would help if your disk drive is somewhat screwed.

Alot of people if not ALL are having issues with the game freezing in be a pro and be a gm mode on both 360 and PS3. I mostly play offline season mode and haven't had a problem with it freezing. Hopefully EA will address the freezing issues in the next patch and make these other modes a little more playable.

sorry, forgot to mention I have a ps3.....sucks that its a known issue, I really like be a pro, but its hard to get into it when you can't even complete a game. So it's really not worth trying to exchange it a toys r us for a new disc?

Oh well, I'll play offline season untill a patch comes out.

In GM mode, playing on pro, I can't get past feb 11. Game and system freezes in the calendar. Has this been reported?

My game is not freezing (PS3) but, when I hit the PS button and try to quit the game, it resets my PS3. Tried other games and this is the only game where it happens.

I had a similar issue - I could not advance in the calendar to the draft. It would just freeze. Fortunately, I save differently after games, for just such an event, so I went back to an earlier save and it was fine (I only play the first 10 games of a season anyway).

Froze twice the first night and hasn't froze again in the 7ish hours of playing since. I still believe its a problem though.

I haven't been able to get one BAP game in. I just wish I could buy a game and be able to play it out of the box. Is that asking too much?!?!

Same here, fresh out of the box, can't play a single game w/o a freeze, discouraging, inexcusable and blatantly WRONG!!!

Chances are you probably tried to start a BAP as Providence/Boston right? (Guessing based on the Celts avatar/NH location.)

I had a problem where whenever it'd show the cut of Providence's goalie from above, it'd freeze. It happened 3 times in a row, only with Providence and only with that specific cut scene. I've played BAPs on Vancouver (for about 10 games, until newer rosters came out) and since then on Colorado (nearly half a season) with no problems. But if I try to start out on Providence, it'll lock on that cut scene.
