Hopefully this one will result in some good changes for NHL10.
"And by the way, you know, when you're telling these little stories? Here's a good idea - have a POINT. It makes it SO much more interesting for the listener!"
Hopefully it's somewhere in between 1.01 and 1.02....although I really enjoy 1.02.
Agreed...the offensive CPU AI is much better in 1.02, but the goalies were a lot more realistic in 1.01. A happy medium with improved teammate AI would be nice!

Exactly and they should keep online and offline seperate
The tuner set can only change the game a little bit. It´s no patch!!
Hopefully they can tune the cpu ai to make them shoot more and make the goalis more like in 1,01.
Hopefully they can tune the cpu so they not only take hooking penalys and slashing.
No offense but I think your wrong ex: play v 01 and then v 02 those tuners did alot.
I also agree with the dumping as the only way I can make it work now is to lower my acceleration and raise cpu pass Int and poke and lift .
this sounds like good news... i agree with the above poster that i like the overall gameplay of the latest tuner, but like the goalie play in v1.01. if they can get that type of blend then they're really on to something.
i also appreciate the fact that they haven't quit on this game and continue to fix various issues. that was my biggest gripe about mlb2k9 - they quit on that game way too soon (way before the all-star game, in the thick of the season). ea should get credit for keeping their team at work on this game instead of closing shop... there's still a LOT of hockey season left.

I second this.
I'll have to pick up NHL10 and see how this 3rd tuner set plays.
Dumping and chasing is sooo useless in this game though, the CPU gets to every puck...
Part of it is caused by the poor teammate AI. Even though you dump the puck in, your teammates almost always come to a stop at the blueline which negates any speed and momentum entering the zone which results in the CPU getting to the puck.

I totally agree with you. I actually think a lot of issues with the game revolve around poor teammate AI and poor CPU AI decisions as well.

Or when you dump the puck around the boards and the D-man just picks it up and goes on his merry way... I hope they get out a major patch before the playoffs addressing some of the major issues...
Yep, the dump and chase definitely needs some attention as it is pretty useless both for the human and CPU. Also, would like to see my AI teammates play better D in front of the net. Just lost a game to Tampa with LeCavalier scoring two goals by just parking himself on one side of the net and waiting for a laser-like cross crease pass.
I'm really liking this game, but those two areas are a source of irritation...
