+1 Emeric.

I'd also like to see the sliders be far more effective.

My favorite example would be...by setting the aggression sliders to max, the defensive AI controlled players would be "forcing" the play. And again...at maximum, the AI players would be nearly impossible to just skate right passed.

For penalty sliders, there should a slider for each penalty in the game (much like the NHL2K series). Setting these sliders would determine how frequently any one given penalty is called by the refs.

Indeed a few more sliders would be nice like shot/pass frequency and puck dumping frequency.. maybe a "creativeness" attribute/slider could be added to make the star players separated from everyone else..

My idea would be "hardcore receiving" meaning that you have to do something (press button or move stick) to succesfully receive a pass. --> New slider: Pass receiving ability that controls how easy it is to receive a pass or how even guys are to receive a pass (is there a big difference between players).

Perhaps this could be "inside" of hardcore mode. That you'll have to click "hardcore" on and then passing becomes "manual" all the way. Receiving and also passing (that is already in game).

Long story but with this kind of option puck control and handling skills come to a new light and guys with "soft" hands become more special.

And I'm also in favor of that "hardcore" onlinelobby or even an own league.

Re: CD event Feedback: Game Modes/Sliders/Settings

I kinda miss the old system where there would be icons that show up next to the player who is on a hot streak or a cold streak (it was fire and ice) and also use those for the goalies as well, and adding an icon for goalies who are tired (it was an icon that had "zzzz" in it) so you should rest him.

Backup goalies in this game are worthless, as the starter NEVER gets tired and the only way you use the backup is by forcing yourself to do so.

Re: CD event Feedback: Game Modes/Sliders/Settings

Couple of ideas for modes:

1) Olympic Tournament Mode - with real locations, ices, jerseys, etc.

2) Winter Classic Mode - with current and all past stadiums, jerseys etc.

3) Original Six Mode - with accurate jerseys, players, etc.

4) Historic Teams - similar to # 3...what better way to celebrate a milestone game in the series than to finally include historic teams? They can go the route 2k did and leave the rosters generic if they can't get the players --- we can edit that ourselves

As far as sliders, for me the most important one is a slider that is already there --- the attribute effectiveness slider. They NEED to really work on this so that there is more separation between the players in this game. It was a little better in NHL 10, but IMO this is one area that is crucial to making the game more realistic. Each player needs to more accurately resemble the ability and personality of their counterpart on the ice --- skaters AND goalies.
