did you try and check out the item? I am at the title page for amazon.ca 's video game page and it says

"Pre-order Sid Meier's Civilization V--the just announced Special Edition includes 5 metal figurines based on units from the game, a 2-disc CD soundtrack, 176-page hardcover art book, DVD and more. Pre-order now and play it on day one with release date delivery."

amazon.com usually has most of the games preorder w/ release date deliv. but i know there are a few where "street date" releases does not arrive in stores on the day of release. you would have to ask fellow posters from canada who uses amazon.ca about this then.. best of luck to ya!

I checked on .com and they said international shipping wont be delivered on street date.


I still have a month, if i cant find anything, guess I might just have to wait it out and hope I can get the game from a store on the release day. Dont wanna go too early so that they didn't even get the game yet lol.

sometimes it takes longer to have amazon put up the option for release date shipping for whatever reason..

I tried futureshop,best buy and stuff but none accept paypal.

I ordered mine last year (NHL 10) through EA. I expected it after release day but it showed by 11:00 AM release day morning.

I ordered MLB 10 from Amazon.ca (my first online purchase of a vid game) because they were offering some stadiums as an incentive. I expected to get the game shipped from them on release day and arriving 3 or 4 days later.
The game arrived at my door on release day.
