You have to go into the settings before the game starts.

I have it on manual, auto-aim makes it too easy to score, besides, missing the net every now and then really isn't the biggest tragedy to me.

Auto-aim still has missed shots, but it is just based on the player's ability. What auto-aim does, is find the corners for you. So you do't have to aim high, low or right, left.

I have always used auto-aim, but it has never been available for online games. Now it is not available for even offline HUT games. So I've decided to start using manual aim, grudgingly.

And it is annoying to find. you can only select it from the pre-game menu. And it is in different spots depending on if it is a Play Now or Season mode game. So you might have to use the triggers or bumper to find it. and you have to manually set it every time you play, even in a season mode.

Manual only because I'm only playing Online versus and HUT. Much harder than auto-aim.

Can someone tell me where (under what menu, etc.) the auto aiming option is? For the life of me I cannot find it.

Manual for me. I like being able to pick where my shots go.

It seems that this option is only available in the pre-game settings menu, not from the main " my nhl 11 " settings menu.

BTW: I prefer manual aim.
