Kinda hard to pitch a shut out in this game 'eh?

i have played 50 games straight in my beAgm mode steve mason is my starting goalie and i have yet to get a shut out....has anyone else had a hard time getting one?

I've never gotten a shutout either. I've played around 30-35 Play Now games with various teams.

I always end up giving that up that one goal in the 3rd period.. .

I get shut outs all the time with the Blackhawks w/Neimi. No problems
for me. I also Play on All Star.

I'd say I get SO more than 50% of my games, although I'm playing HUT, and playing the early tourneys, so they're on Pro (after the first rookie one). My teams have been crap for the most part, but I still get a lot of SO.

Its easy to pitch a shutout if your me....i have scored 1 goal in 30 games...lol....and yes I know your talking about agaist the cpu....just having fun

Yes, they are very, very tough to get. I usually play on super star so its really gratifying when I do get one.

I haven't played much but i would say maybe 10 games so far and I've had one game where I lost my shutout in like 30 seconds left from a weak no-look shot from the blue line I always get those kind of shots from teh computer to either tie me up or win the damn game.

I was seeing things like this from time-to-time. I raised my goalie's reaction time to 5 and now I'm getting slightly better results in net. Most of the time the "weak" goals come from screens. If you watch the replays most of the time the goalie never see's it until it is too late.

i'd say if its coming from screens and the goalie dosent see it...its realistic

so what do i need a better goalie someone said nemi gets the shut outs and steve mason is on par with him ratings wise...or better defenders

I've recorded 2 shutouts in 12 games. I'm doing alright. I play on super star. 13 minute periods.

I have had 3 thus far...But i have also lost 2 by the CPU literally scoring a goal with fractions of seconds on the clock. Last night they scored with .6 seconds left to brak the SO.....I won 6-1.....Finally gotten back to scoring goals after SEVERAL games with a VERY cold Offense. VERY VERY COld.

Its all in the coding boys but sliders and skill level do play a Huge part :wink:
