NHL 11 roster management spreadsheet 0,5

Hey guys,

just in case there are some more "stats nerds" like me or simply people who like to have some kind of "central" overview of their franchise I developed a small excel spreadsheet which I want to share with you.

It gives you the opportunity to show you your lines,contracts,NHL/AHL roster,Cap space, player overalls,age,Potential etc. And everything within one view

You can even calculate the cap room for upcoming years via a dropdown and also see the remaining contract years highlighted.

I think EA did a good job to giving us access to all the infos, I just wanted to have them easier to acces,especially while valuing trade offers or during the draft.

Short manual:
All you have to do is fill the sheet "Roster all".I would suggest to keep my order horizontal, while you have to keep the vertical order.
The formatting is conditional,which means that 2eay contracts will be shown orange if you enter a 2 in column K, red on RFAs etc.

You also have to determine you lines in this sheet in column 1.
It only works if each number per NHL/AHL/Juniors is unique, so make Lines 1-2 and the reserves 5,6 etc.
Also on your D players you have to continue your numbering.

The first sheet (Roster NHL) will update fully automaticaly.
There you only have to enter the current cap limit and the year you want to see.
By year,I always use the year were the season starts.This also applies for the "Contract ends" column in the "Roster all" sheet!

Please do not edit anything except Year in the "Roster NHL" sheet.

I only finished this for the NHL rooster sheet, the AHL will foloow.
Furthermore, I will add a sheet for the player stats.

P.S. Two things that might be helpful, especially for trades, is a list of draft picks you have (and can be updated as you trade for them or give them away) and the player's type (PWF, TWF, SNP, etc).

Other than that, AWESOME JOB!!!

This is awesome. I have been using a spreadsheet to track my roster and lines and that sort, but it is sooo basic compared to what you have done. Great work! My only concern about it is on the nhl roster sheet, where your centers are listed. It shows their ages again where the potential should be. Not a big deal since it is listed in other spots, but if this is an easy fix and you can show us/me how to change it, thatd be cool! Thanks again man, awesome work!
