Leafs Ratings

On the Leafs forum, one of the members played the game and they got the ratings for the Leafs.

83C Lupul - 83C Connolly - 87C Kessel
84C Kulemin - 83C Grabovski - 83C MacArthur
83C Lombardi - 81C Bozak - 82C Armstrong
75C Boyce - 77B Kadri - 75C Crabb
81C Sjostrom
79C Brown
77C Dupuis
77C Orr
74C Rosehill
72C Frattin

85C Phaneuf - 82B Franson
84B- Schenn - 84C Komisarek
79B- Gunnarsson - 83C Liles
78B- Aulie
73B- Lashoff

82B- Reimer
81C Gustavsson

Based on the Leafs,Canucks,Bruins and HUT ratings I've seen, it looks like EA really increased ratings for everyone.

No idea how Reimer is an 81. EA has always done a terrible job with the NHL ratings.

Re: Leafs Ratings

Disappointing. I think there should be MUCH more separation between the lines. There's a reason guys play on the third line, because they're not as good as the people on the top line...

Maybe they have the ability to be on a better line if given a shot?

I'll use Macarthur for example. He only played around 14 mins a game before this season and only got around 30 points. This season he gets put on a diff team, placed on a better line, plays more minutes, and then he gets over 60 points(mostly due to assists) playing over 17 mins a game.

Kessel is the only guaranteed 1st line guy on the Leafs. If they had the guys to spare, they would trade them away and would have no problem bumping someone like Connolly or Lupul to the 2nd line.

Overall ratings won't mean as much compared to which ratings a player has that are rated high(ex- A guy can be rated 85, but other than his shot power and accuracy, everything else is below 80)

Maybe the Leafs is a weird situation like that (I won't pretend to be a great Maple Leafs hockey mind), but I hope that it's different around the league, because on most teams, you can easily see the talent difference between the 1st and 3rd lines.

I will use the Wild for example (just speculating on line combos here)
First line: PMB-Koivu-Heatley
Third line: Powe-Brodziak-Clutterbuck

I would certainly hope to see a separation in those overall ratings.

Re: Leafs Ratings

These are brutal and in some cases WAY off in my opinion. Looks like another year of editing what seems like hundreds of players' ratings...
