Is anyone else sick of this game?

It just pisses me off that all of these teams in the EASHL just run around and score goals at will. My team for one, plays legit hockey, and positionally, yet we always wind up getting screwed.

I'm not really sure why the hell this happens, all the freaking time. It's like everything we possibly do, teams easily counter it with some stupid bull****. It's just ridiculous, same ****, new year.

Nope. I'm loving this game more and more with each game played. And I'm a casual hockey fan at best but this game is so addictive.

I'm having lots of fun with this game! Of course, I don't play online (for the exact reasons you listed) so I can't agree with you.

Nope. I feel like I'm just getting started with this game.

Especially with hockey season coming up, I'm going to be logging a lot of hours watching NHL Center Ice and playing NHL 12.

Yep. Loving the game this year.

Online is a sure way to ruin the experience if you do not limit your play to friends. If you don't face cheesers, you end up playing guys that take online play so serious they pitch a fit about it in online forums.

nope, love this game, can't stop playing it. Hate online because of the morons on it, only play my buddies I've been NHL gaming with since grade school. This is one of the main reasons I love hockey

I am actually loving the EASHL right now. So many morons skating out of position to hip check it opens up offense nicely. Also seems to be more rewarding to get a good cycle going leading to a goal this year.

I agree, my team plays a sim style game. We cycle, create plays off of the rush, and have good puck possession in the offensive zone... although the A.I somewhat ruins it for us with their terrible passing....

Online is wrecked at the moment, both in EASHL and Ranked 1v1. Whatever they changed AFTER release means players are able to glitch around the ice a lot more, with checks having little to no effect.

Playing good solid D means nothing, as players are able to find the top corner (which goalies are really suspect to at the moment) from anywhere in the zone, no matter how much pressure they are under, or how well sighted the netminder is.

Also, players are able to hip-check with too much ease, often barely needing to make contact to get a big hit.

Then there is the annoyance that it is possible to hold RS away from the defending player and avoid any kind of purposeful hit, or poke check, same with spinning back on themselves on a space the size of a penny.

When you are someone who has always played proper hockey, it ruins the online aspect completely, as no matter how well you play, the other team (unless you are lucky and get another guy who wishes to play properly) will always revert to an exploit. I refuse to play like that and more often than not get punished for it. I was hoping that the new engine would allow people who play properly to enjoy online too and at the start it did, but then EA changed something and it is worse than NHL 11 online.

Offline though is another matter altogether, with the right sliders and tuner 1.00 the game is a JOY to play. It feels like playing proper hockey time after time after time. Unlike a game like FIFA, this feels more challenging and fun offline. Will be spending more of this year offline and enjoying that, right to the point I will drop out of my online league.

Agreed. I also HATE the fact that this year, when a computer shoots, you can't quickly call for the pass if you're in a good scoring position like last year. CPU ruins so many of our chances u just by randomly shooting it.

I actually just lost it tonight in the games we played. Cursing and all. I've had it with this piss poor A.I in EASHL. Their stupid passing, passing it out of the offensive zone, passing it backwards for no reason, the goalie playing the puck randomly, CPU pinning itself to the boards, CPU taking pointless random shots, the CPU just standing or skating RIGHT next to a guy not poke checking, hitting, or stick lifting.... I'd rather play 6 v 6 OTP than this B.S. And our club is friends only, hence why we have CPU team mates.

EA fix your A.I! I swear you don't test A.I for Be a Pro/EASHL/OTP AT ALL!

Having a great time with it. Super fun. Quick, exciting and fresh for a guy who hasn't played a hockey game in years.

No one's forcing you to play the game, man. No need to make individual threads about how much you hate it.
