There is no game now for the PSP. is there going to be an NHL game for the Vita?

I doubt it, at least initially. Unless sales of the Vita are good, it does not look promising. The PSP did not have a large enough user base to justify many sports titles, unfortunately. I'm waiting before buying a Vita for this exact reason - if there is no football or hockey, I'll pass.

I forgot to add, though I am sure you are already aware, there is NHL 07 for the PSP and you can probably find a used copy floating around.

Doubt it. They are releasing game that will probably take up more space than any NHL game. Besides, you would have to buy a memory stick most likely anyways and you be sure you have enough space. I don't see an NHL game being released for it though, unless the makers of Breakbreaker jump in on it.

True....I was really referring to the poster who was saying the game might be too big for the Vita.

Really weird you mention NHL on PSVita because I was just playing NHL 07 on the PSP last night. I would love to see a game on the Vita once it releases.

Hey, fellas,
Can I add my name to the list of those hoping for an NHL game on the Vita? I just "discovered" the PSP a year ago and it is my constant companion. I am currently playing a season with NHL 07 and despite some flaws (goalies) I am really into this game. I play it at lunch, I play it when the kids are watching TV, I play it before they get up - you get the idea. I'm very much on the fence about buying a Vita, but if they announced that NHL was coming to Vita, that would put me over the edge!

you need to jailbreak your PSP to run homebrew and then install this app

then you just need the NHL 94 Genesis ROM's (you are on your own to find those)

you can also get UPDATED ROM's - with current rosters from NHL94.com
