i am stuck on my veteran 3 card and every time i get a B i go back down to a B- because of Team play and everyone says to just hit people and play D but it doesn't work i just want to get Superstar have enough games played and wins for legend

I play mainly as a Defenseman, and I was stuck on Veteran 3 for the longest time. In fact, when I finally completed the grade needed to go up, I already had enough games played and wins accumulated, that I jumped right to Superstar 3 from Vet 3!!!

Turnovers kill your Team Play grade. You can hit all you want, but if you turn the puck over, forget about it. Concentrate on taking care of the puck and being sure of your passes first, and then hitting people. People telling you to play D and hit people are correct, however. That all contributes to your TP Grade, but I found, once I REALLY concentrated on making my passes and taking care of the puck when I had it, that my grade went up to the next level.

First of all if you suck at D don't play D. Play the position that you are best at and most comfortable with. There are a lot of things that go into team play but some of the easiest to do are these...

-Shots on net, not just goals, are great for team play. However make sure you get the puck to the net because shots that get blocked or miss the net hurt your team play.
-Block shots as much as you can
-Clearing the puck from your own zone on a penalty kill
-This one is obvious but stear clear of taking penalties. That is a team play killer.
-If you are playing as a tough guy fighting at the right time and winning those fights helps

There are a lot of things you can do to up your team play. Just stay with it and stay patient, you'll get your card.
