    CPU vs CPU?

Madden removed it from franchise, and NHL seems to be going in the same general direction as Madden. So, I'm kind of wrried that CPU vs CPU will be removed from NHL franchise mode, as well. Does anyone know, one way or the other? It's a deal breaker, for me.

Same for me, though I've already pre-purchased it as an import title. The demo does allow it and I'm hoping season mode does at least (if season mode is still in the game).

Any ideas anyone if this is still in the game, especially for season mode and GM Connected?

Well both games still have the coach mode feature which is great, that way you at least feel in the game a little bit.

I correct myself, NHL 13 has coach mode, but Madden 13 does not except exhibition games.

I just want to make sure I can put the controller in the middle, and just watch. And it has to be an option in franchise.

You can position lock as Coach before you start the game. It is one of there selling points for GM Connected as part of the "five ways to play" so it will be available.

I was a huge fan of simulation games like NFL Head Coach 09. Since Madden got rid of coach mode for their new franchise option, I am utterly devastated.

Don't ask me why I felt the need to preface my question with that. So I digress....

Could you point out where I can read more about this GM Connected mode for NHL 13?

Do you mean just watching a CPU vs. CPU game, as a "spectator"?

I just did this last night.

When I read http://www.easports.com/nhl/news/art...ected-revealed I got the impression that Coach Controls would not only let you spectate but also give you the ability to change lines and direct your players. Which, for me as a sim fan, would be wonderful.

I'm looking forward to this as well. I'm a little bummed the demo doesn't let you switch to manual line changes. That's kind of essential to enjoy the coach mode experience.

That's how it works Chickehead yeah...you can do this in the demo and is a cool feature. The cpu will also change up your lines for you if you leave it alone. We should be able to toggle this feature from manual/auto in the full game I hope.

We're just trying to establish if season mode (where you can select all teams as user controlled) along with cpu v cpu is still in the game..I've tweeted Rammer, EA and posted on the EA boards but nothing yet.

You can cpu v cpu in the demo so there is no reason it shouldn't - but with Madden only allowing this in "play now", which essentially is what the demo is, then it is a worry at the moment.

FIFA always lets you CPU vs. CPU in play now mode, but prohibits it in their Manager Mode, so it's by no means conclusive that you'll be able to based on the demo.

I'll never understand why they don't allow that. Sure, there is only a small collection of people who are interested in this, but it seems like it's more work for them to prohibit it than to allow it.

                          Exactly. Couldn't agree more.

From what I understand...you will not be able to control all teams in Franchise mode as you could last year. (It is called Coach Mode) I am also curious to know if it is possible to play NHL13 "Head to Head" on the same console???
