NHL 13 Companion iOS App LIVE

This looks pretty awesome and early impressions have been good, but I just keep thinking "This can't be nearly as good as it appears to be". They promised this for Madden years ago (I think) and it basically never happened.

I would've really loved this type of thing for NCAA 13, especially with all the recruiting. You can use the website portal on iOS device, but it's so slow on both the computer and iOS that I use it for recruiting. Too bad, since this seems to be "the next big thing", and I'd have to think the sophisticated smartphone user base overlaps pretty well with NHL, Madden, and NCAA gamers.

I cant belive that this is only iOS. I really would like to take advantage of this feature. I feel like beta in a VHS world.

I don't think it will be live until Friday as that's the official release date.

Tried the app for HUT.

It's terrible. It's very slow, you don't see a precise timer for your participating aunctions (only "< 1 min"), your "feed" list gets bigger and bigger and I haven't found a way to clear it, some buttons are hidden by text (like the BID button in the trading pane), there is no way to see the min aunction value without actually trying to bid on a card, the min/max filters only allow 0 to 900, 5000 to 5900, 10000 to 10900 ranges (i mean, how hard is it to code a spinner for each digit), etc, etc etc.

It sucks.

It's not that bad. It could use a few tweaks (timer, filters), but it works well. I'm up 5K pucks already just doing trades via the app.
