I bought the game today. I'm not sure if I will keep the game or not. It depends on if EA fixes this with the penalites and some other things.

The dilemma is that I want to use the online pass code to be able to download rosters and so on. If I use the code and I end up selling the game later on, will that person be able to play online and download rosters or does that become impossible because I already used the code?

Once you use the pass, nobody else can, they have to buy another. Conversely, if you re purchase the game, your pass is still good.

I don't think that has anything to do with the online pass. I have downloaded the tuner sets and roster updates and I haven't even entered my online pass yet.

Nahh, the Online Pass isn't involved with the rosters or tuners. Only for online play. Madden football on the other hand, those pricks don't allow anything without a Gold membership, an online pass and your first-born.

If someone buys your game used, they can spend an additional $10 for their own or "new" online pass. The online pass you entered will be forever linked to your EASports online ID. I don't think you can transfer the pass.

online pass is EA's getting MORE MONEY specially for those going to buy their game sport games. GENIUS on their side.
