    Trades gone wild.

What's with the INSANE amount of trades when I try to simulate the preseason? Right when you start simulating teams start going nuts...

Alfredsson for this, Jovanovski for that, Nabokov for this... etc.

Is there any way to prevent this?

I agree with you. I am seeing the exact same thing and have no idea how to fix this. What the heck!?

I wouldn't say glitchy. The trade logic is overall better and the options to ensure quality offers and such on your behalf is fantastic. It's not perfect by any means, but not glitchy either.

Are teams trying to get under the cap? That little pop-up tells you that teams that are not under the cap will do so when you start simulating.

Oh yeah that's totally reasonable after shelling out 60 bucks for this game. Just turn stuff off!

I've only been offered maybe 2 trades during the 3 times I've started a BGM mode....

I turned CPU trading off to simulate the pre-season. From here on out who knows. I don't want to see the Senators trading Alfredsson in the very first week. Ugh.

I have turned off the salary cap. So far these players have been traded:

Iginla, Visnovsky, Doan, Kiprusoff, Hejduk, Selanne, Alfredsson, Gonchar, St. Louis.

I started at the NHL draft though but still most of here players would never be traded in real life.

All of them are in the twilight of their careers. What were they traded for and to whom? As I've said before, the CPU has no emotional ties to these players like humans do, but if the CPU traded them for what they felt was a good deal then I have no problem with that. If the Flames traded Iginla and Kipper for 4 young prospects, then I think it is good as they are rebuilding.

Very good point and people will likely have to deal with this kind of thing or turn trades off if they don't want trades they feel would never happen. Personally, I feel players like those being mentioned are more likely to be traded, simply because they have just a few years left and still enough trade value for those teams looking to rebuild.

I might just leave trades off until a closer to the trading deadline.

Friend of mine sent me this earlier today of a transaction just at the start of the preseason.
