Accused of Glitching. Did I?

Playing a HUT playoff game. Scored 2 goals by Alex Semin where I basically came down off the rush, slowed down do avoid the defenceman stepping up, and took a wrister from the slot.

Now Semin is a righty playing LW so I pressed the skill stick to the right, extending it from his body and took the shot. Went top shelf glove side. His other goal was a basic wrister from the slot that hit the post and bounced in. Also took a slapper from the point with Kulikov.

The guy messaged me during and after the game claiming I was glitching. Now idk much about glitches in this game. Are these glitch goals?

No, don't be worried, that is just playing hockey. I much prefer players taking a shot from the outside than constantly deeking for the center with every player on their rooster, but I enjoy the simulation aspect more than the arcadey aspects of the games so I am biased that way instead
I bet that same person would complain if you opted to shoot low and hope for a rebound as well, or shoot from the point, or pass, or deke, or anything

It's funny that most goals that a lot of players consider "glitchy" are fairly easy to avoid if you're even slightly committed to play defense, granted though that playing defense can be a pain since the AI is insurmountably dumb most of the time. I still can't consider shots from the outside to be glitches, if you let snipers get shots of from those areas, pucks are going in the net at some point.

While there are whiners on NHL, you have'nt played NBA 2k13 against randoms or call of duty at all to make a statement like that.

I don't play NBA games, but I do play call of duty. The majority of COD players don't even use headsets and the worst I have ran into are noob tubers and quick scoping snipers. In NHL, all it takes is one drop in game for someone to either sit at the ready up screen for 2 minutes while it's full, then another 30 seconds because they don't get their position, then either yell at everyone else that they suck, should kill themselves, gay, fornicate with househould objects and/or their mother, and then decide to not play their position and send you a message after the game. That's not even if you have to play goalie.

I don't play team play so i havent run into your issues in NHL, however, It is the same in NBA or Fifa,except ontop the other stuff, you also get called a stupid american and you are told you are the reason for all of the worlds problems. And COD is filled with the most racist vile disgusting human filth that has ever put on a microphone headset.

That crap drives me crazy. I'll finally be in a good 3v3 or 4v4 game and then one person will go offsides all the time, not move his guy, or pull some other annoying crap. I enjoy the team play online more than 1v1, but it can be very tough to get in a good game.

ESPECIALLY 2K13...2nd game, I actually rage quit, never played another random lol.

Im not having much problem with random NHL'ers tho this year.

I had the same "problem" last night in EASHL....I was playing Defender and was firing all game long from the blue line...i score one or to directly and we had like 4 more "rebound goals"....

After the game i received a message wait....

"Yo Fedorov you c--k s---ing noob! All you can do is firing from the blue line and you guys score on CHEAP goals while glitching us with that!"

I did not even response to this message.....So "in the worst case scenario" this is like "using a bug" to score BUT how can shooting from a blue line and scoring with rebounds be a glitch?.....Is it not to defend? No way to block any shots?....Maybe he played with the lame '94 controls^^

Stories like these are why I never play online.

But, most games are now catered to online play, leaving me, the offline- only player, out in the cold.

Which is probably why I don't get all amped to buy new video games like I used to. (Or it could be my age, lol)

Hey i'm also a bit older (34) and you know what...It makes fun to deal with people, dosen't matter if they are little kids, teenagers or my age...BEST part is the way they play!
I played games like SvR a lot, joined a clan and was been glitched by a lot of guys...After the game i received some messages like yesterday, messages that i'm a stupid german, how cool it was to glitch me and also then our clan etc.....
I was always thinking about the guys sitting on "the other side of the console" how desperate they must be, i go even further how low life he must be, just to BE SOMEONE in "Video World", by chaeting, boosting or just earning skills, playing games 24/7 and missing "the real World" haha

No way man, that is absolutely not a glitch. So many of these online players have never let go of exploits from past titles that they think any goal that looks similar is a "glitch" or "cheese", while completely disregarding the context of the current game. I promise you that guy thought he was the victim of the old NHL '09 "curve shot" just because he saw you **** back for a hard wrist shot, even though that exploit ended with NHL 10.

And that said, this year I've found HUT players and, really, just the mode itself as the most insufferable online experience. It's just win at any cost for most of the people you match up with, and they'll pull out all the cheese you can handle with their top lines of Gretzky, Stamkos and Malkin. I even had one guy I beat message me after the game, something like, "so that's your glitch huh? you keep your team sh***y so that you get the ice tilt?" (cause I never put money into the mode, I just build from scratch, so my team is pretty bad). That's some real-deal, whiny paranoia there.
