    Player Progression

How is player progression determined and/or is there a way to edit it (ie Sven Bartschi progresses quickly while Mikhael Grigorenko does not)?

As far as I know it's based on their player role, i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rdS, 3rdC, etc. So if you have a guy who is 2nd but playing on the 3rd line, he may go down.

And I think the only thing you can edit it whether or not their potential is green, red, or yellow, and that I think must be done on in MY NHL13 before you ever start up your GM mode.

I think there is a (welcome) random element. No guarantee the prospect will develop and/or how much. I believe that playing time does maximize development though.

From my experience w/ GM connected, I believe it to be completely random. I've had 100+ point seasons with guys with 4 and 4.5 stars not progress, while my 4th liner with 3.5 stars progresses 4-5 points.
