I have been playing NHL 13 for the past couple years on 360 and am wanting something new. I have no plans on buying a new console, so I am trying to decide between NHL 14 and NHL 15, to keep the cost down. I mainly play the play now mode against the cpu and am most interested in good gameplay. I am leaning towards 14 as there seem to be more positive reviews for it, but am interested in having the newest decent game available. What should I get?

Re: NHL 14 vs. 15 on Xbox 360
They´re both great games. But I think NHL 15 is a better game with the right slider set and @alkostopolus revamped and updated rosters.
NHL 14 :
+ There are great roster sets on operation sports to dowload ( revamped, 90s, historic etc...)
+ Gameplay is great with right slider tweaks (operation sports offers a lot of realistic sets)
+ Commentary by Gary Thorne and Bill Clement
- Break in play custom music needs an online update to work
- The famous "moonpuck" when you dump it in ( needs an online update as well)
- Phoenix Coyotes
NHL 15:
+ Better gameplay, puck and collision physics out of the box
+ Custom music works like an charm
+ Great revamped and updated roster sets to download on operation sports (alkostopolus......)
+/- Commentary by Mike Emrick, Ed Olczyk and Ray Ferraro
+ Arizona Coyotes
- Same graphics, same presentation ( only commentary changed), same menu, same cutscenes
Just watch a view videos on youtube to make your decision easier what kind of game you prefer. Hope my list helped you a little bit -

Good post, austrianredwing...
I own 14, 15 and Legacy. I enjoy 15 the best of all of them. As stated, slider tweaks really help - not a perfect game, but it's the only one I really play anymore. The one thing I don't like about Legacy is how many times they call a penalty when the goalie gets touched. it's overdone... I've found 15 calls the perfect variety of goalie interference. I've had some great battles in the halfboards/corners and just love this game... I'd suggest 15.STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

There is also a roster slightly more updated that Omega did - there is a small fee that comes with his. But he used the linked roster as his base file.STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Well I didnt entirely use the linked roster as a base, back when alkostopolous first started his project we were a 3 man team on that roster I simply used the roster from where the 3 of us left off when he disappeared for awhile, so whats in his file now I have no idea but yes mine is a small fee but if u want it just email me we dan work somthing outhttp://www.operationsports.com/forum...16-season.html

That's fine - i just provided an answer, and based upon the hair splitting you used in your answer, I believe everything I stated was true. yes, his file was in fact a base file, and yes, there is a small fee. But I hope that's not offensive to you in my typing that. Take care.Well I didnt entirely use the linked roster as a base, back when alkostopolous first started his project we were a 3 man team on that roster I simply used the roster from where the 3 of us left off when he disappeared for awhile, so whats in his file now I have no idea but yes mine is a small fee but if u want it just email me we dan work somthing outSTEELERS INDIANS CELTICS
