Extracting the files of NHL 08 PS3

Once upon a time, I was able to play NHL 08 on extracted files. I was able to mod the game's files without many problems. Nowadays, I cannot do that without RPCS3 giving me a fatal error!

Could someone please help me? Here's what I tried to use to extract all the files, but didn't work, and why:

QuickBMS: Files cannot extract past what I assume is the Anehim Ducks' 07-08 home jersey in data1.big
FinalBIG: Extracts everything, but causes a fatal error in RPCS3.
OSBigEditor: Extracts almost everything (minus the files it thinks are unreadable due to a "lack of RAM" [not even the 64-bit patch works around this limitation] given you have already created the required folders), but the game "opens" up with a boot loop.
BigGUI: Invalid header error.
Game Extractor: Same thing as FinalBIG
Big File Extractor: Same result as Game Extractor and FinalBIG

What other tools could I use to extract the .big files in the USRDIR directory?

Note: It cannot be any of the aforementioned programs.

Refpack compressed files need to be decompressed before run the game with extracted files and folders. If you extract all files using Big File Extractor files are then compressed and causes fatal crash.

I tried to decompress the files using quickbms with refpack script, OS Big Editor, fifaFs, Refpack compressor/decompressor and none of them worked. I can’t find any other app to find out the data1.big refpack compression problem. My skills isn’t enough to help further

And not only that, but NHL 12 to Legacy portrait files lose the file that’s supposed to be extracted as a DDS upon decompression.

I tried with a copy I dumped from my PS3, and it looks to be the exact same story as before.
