PS4 - Looking to Join or Start an EASHL team with like minded folks

I want to play with guys not afraid to experiment and don’t get too bent out of shape if say Jimmy wants to try his hand at goal and doesn’t have the best of nights. - Playing the Game the Right Way: Goes with attitude…I want guys that regardless of their skill are trying to play the game the ‘right’ way and are trying to get better. There’s no point playing the game if you get put at Right D and decide to Bobby Orr it every play exposing us at the back. - Mic’d Up: Because it’s 2016, the PS4 comes with a little head set and communication is vital to good team play I’d like to start a team, join a team that insists on Mics. - Your vocabulary should go beyond the 7 words you can't say on TV. It's one thing to drop a F bomb now and then, another for it to be your sole means of communication So yeah, that’s what I’m looking for. A relaxed place to play the game with some folks who view the game similarly to me. I’ll leave this out here and see if there are any teams recruiting otherwise I may start my own tonight. Okay so I went ahead and created a team. While I did not make it public, I am going to start it off with a relative open door policy. Everything I’ve currently set up for the team that can be changed is negotiable and discussable. Although I like the name Shinnyhawks for some dumb reason.

If you would like to join here is what I am looking for:

- Eastern Time Zone Centric: Main focus of gameplay will be in that 8-11pm EST weeknights and perhaps a little more flexible on weekends.

- A bit of maturity: I’m looking to create a team of folks who are maybe a bit out of place playing with younger players. I’m 39, I have children so my gaming time is as much social as it is a release valve and I have very little in common with players 20 years younger than me. While I’m not putting an age limit on it, please keep that in mind if you’re asking to join

- The right attitude: It is possible to be competitive in nature, want to win and not be a total a-hole when things don’t go your way. I want players who can appreciate this is a game and that things aren’t going to go our way all the time.

- Playing the “RIGHT” way: All skill levels are welcome but you have to be committed to playing within a team structure. I want a fun place to play and get better but that means you have to be willing to work with your teammates. In other words, this is 100% casual, but casual doesn’t mean 6 individuals playing their own game. We are going to try to play the right way and improve.

- Mics: Mics are mandatory. From my experience if everybody is communicating it pushes the frustration level down and improves the game play on the ice. It’s not a big deal if from time to time you have to mute or be in listen mode as real life happens, but it needs to be the exception not the rule.
- Language: I’m not going to police language and have no issues with the occasional swearing, but if you’re online persona would be right at home in a Tarantino movie then this isn’t the team for you. Since most of the communication is with teammates I expect most language to be respectful.

- No ‘Specialists’: I get that everybody has a preferred position, but I want players who are open to playing the game. That might mean getting stuck in a position you don’t want to play or ‘suck’ at from time to time to fill in numbers or allow other players to try their hands at things. Point being that you’ll hopefully get to play your preferred position often, but need to be adaptable to playing in other places.


So here it is, an opportunity to play the game, hopefully improve in an environment less toxic than the pick up games. I am less concerned about the results as they will ensure that eventually we settle at a level that will make the games competitive and fun. I only ask that you commit to playing the game the right way. Look at the requirements I’m looking for above and if you feel you fit the bill drop me a PM here, or a message on PSN @ INHOCMARK.

I will add you once I get home. I will play anywhere on the ice. I perfer a winger but will play defense or goalie if needed. So don't expect much if I am in net, even though I do enjoy playing the position!

Unless you're playing in that 5:00pm Pacific slot, then you're likely going to struggle finding games with us.
