NHL 18 Revamped Rosters

I honestly can't believe EA Sports don't have roster sharing for this game. OK! So no roster sharing for NHL 18 & no roster editing for NBA Live 18 from the same company.

The last time I checked it is 2017 & getting close to 2018. I believe EA Sports is going backwards in time instead of forward. I'm honestly in shock/disbelief over both of these issues.

Already taken back NBA Live 18 but hadn't bought NHL 18 yet. I know that I'm not buying NHL 18 now. They can keep their money due to these issues. Thanks.

Simple, your F research is basically just using PPG for this season, I'm trying to figure a way to do that using the last two seasons. I found a website that has the info and I'm trying to figure a formula. However, I don't want to leave out the defensive minded players who may not score much, but deserve a higher rating.
I was thinking something like:
20% PPG from last season
30% PPG from this season
10% penalty kill production
10% defensive skill
10% power play production
However, I need to figure a way to normalize the players that are higher than 1.0 ppg. Any suggestions would be great.

I’ve tried to come up with a formula for the overalls, but it never turns out the way I wanted. So first I’ll assign overalls based on points per game, then I’ll tweak the overalls based on defensive skill. As I assign individual attributes to the players, I look at scouting reports for them to see who should have high/low defensive abilities. This will cause their actual overalls to increase/decrease as necessary.

I got you. So that research tab is basically a work in progress. Even though EA's ratings are more tolerable this year, there's still so much off. I can't for the life of me just look past it and just play. A lot of positions need changing too.

I agree 100%, I’ve been playing HUT so far but it’s almost played out now for me. Really want to start a franchise but I’m waiting for Simple’s first wave of player ratings

Yup - it’s a work in progress. And their ratings have always bothered me, that’s why I started this project 5 years ago. Some of their ratings are just horrifying when you really dig deep into them.

Check the google doc on the original post. I have been updating potentials lately. I have come out with a few updates for overalls throughout the season so far. Once I get through all of the potentials I am going to update overalls again.
