EA please give us roster share Ryan Clowe has not played in years

Do you want to know just how bad EAs roster updates are? Look no further than this latest update dated for October 24,2017 and take a look at the NJ Devils. Ryan Clowe is the 4th line left winger. Ryan has not played an NHL game since October of 2015 when concussions ended his career....over 2 years ago. On July 13, 2016 he became an assistant coach with the Devils.....he has been an assistant coach for 1 year and 3 months yet EA proudly runs him out on the Devils 4th line in their latest update. EA please, if anyone from EA even browses these forums please address why we do not have a roster share. Clearly your resources are too limited to provide the community and customers who purchased your game with timely accurate rosters. We understand that and we also understand the certain restrictions you are under. If there is a legitimate reason why we cannot have Roster share please inform the community. Thank you

I feel you man, it’s frustrating, I would like roster share too...but in Ryan Clowe’s case he’s still under contract with the Devils until the end of this season...so for setting up a realistic franchise mode, you have to have Clowe on the active roster for cap space reasons...what’s crazy is the game rating him still above 70, 2 years after he retired...that’s the reason why he made it to the Devil’s 4th...

Horton and Lupul are both still on the Leafs, as well.
To simulate LTIR, I drop their overalls below 40 and drop them to free agency and/or some team in the DEL or wherever. That way they never get played or signed again, and then eventually just retire without anyone noticing.

Same for Pronger and Dats, or did they finally address those beforehand?

There was nothing more infuriating for me than starting a career mode and see a now KHL employed Dats leading the Coyotes.

Pronger and Datsyuk's contracts ran out over the summer, so they are now off the Coyotes.

This isn't necessarily EA's problem to fix, those players are technically on the team's rosters. Blame the NHL CBA that these guys still get stuck on team rosters years after retiring. It would be nice to have the game address it somehow, but I do not know how it would be done.

I had to destroy:

- Lupul
- Horton
- Clowe
- Clarkson
- Gaborik
- Svechnikov ("retired")

Drop their overalls and put them to Free Agency.
