Which version of the game do you have? Currently looking for an updated roster for NHL 17.

Re: Roster Sharing is Possible

Sorry for those who were looking for my roster update. I set a deadline back for April 10th but with the baseball season getting underway and the Bruins with the long playoff run, this just wasn't a priority. I still plan on doing an update at some point. Just not sure when as I haven't played the game in well over a month and a half.

Re: Roster Sharing is Possible

I have the decrypted copy of NHL 18 for ps4 and I noticed that roster database is viewable with Fifa DB master 11 and 15. I haven’t got ps4 and don’t know anything about save file system and decryptions but .db files are readable if it’s possible to get it out of save file. Uploaded db file from fake pkg game disc in attachment.

Gnf graphics files are readable too with Noesis viewer.

Attached Files
File Type: zip t3db.zip (1.40 MB, 33 views)

Interesting. Would it be possible to edit NHL database using this?

Also, how did you get the db file from the pkg? I tried it with NHL 19 but no luck.

Did you manage to open gnf files from NHL 18 as well?

Re: Roster Sharing is Possible

I use Fake_PKG_Generator and orbis-pub-chk.exe to extract game files from NHL 18 fake pkg. I tested it with original pkg but didn't succeed because of encryption. There are .big files inside databigs folder which contains all game data and the big files can extract with quickbms and fightnight.bms script which can be found at the bottom of the page. Noesis can handle Gnf textures as a default.

Edit. I just tried it and nhl_game.db is inside inxp_00.big as well as language loc databases which can be read in DB Master too.

Re: Roster Sharing is Possible

Cool, I tested with NHL 19 pkg but seems I need a passcode to be able to extract all files so couldn't get it to work.

Anyway, hopefully this could lead somewhere going forward. I am making classic rosters myself (NHL 19 and 20) and things like changing names/colors of teams, adding logos, jerseys, removing helmets etc would be amazing if it could be done using this.
