Voodoo's NHL 25 Sliders

First thing you'll notice is my slider set is quite different than most.

I'm not usually a slider maker but hope these will be as fun for anyone who tries them as they have been for me.

I appreciate all you others that put out your sliders, with out those I wouldn't have enjoyed the game as much as I do over the years.
I'll try to answer any questions anyone has on the differences in this set.
Right now NHL 25 has become my favourite EA NHL game of all time and going into the year I never thought of it like that.
I'm not saying it's perfect but for a video game it's been fun.

I'll go through each section what I'm seeing with these values and the major differences.

In the general section,
Fatigue effect 35, I find anything much higher than 40 and guys can become pylons if they're exhausted.
Fatigue recovery 20, a 2 minute shift and your line will be pretty empty. At the end of the period all lines are usually in the red and nearly empty. Making good line changes is important.

In skating,
I have agility higher and think they move better than when it's low. Like most things personal preference if you like the slower lumbering guys with the lower agility that's fine too.

Shooting, is a good section to adjust if you want more shots/goals.

Passing,
A bit lower pass speed I think looks really good.
Low pass accuracy and interceptions somewhat balance each other out, I wouldn't go much higher in interceptions.

Puck control,
I've used 80 for the immunity slider for a long time, helps with not having an instant turnover after just getting a turnover.
Puck control higher to help keep possession and build offensive zone time.

Goalies,
Cross crease reaction time has been very good at these settings.
A high screen effect helps with tips and goal variety.

Checking,
This is the big section with much different settings.
Aggression at 0 has been fantastic with keeping players in better positioning and not having three guys chase the puck.
Hitting power at 15 is needed or guys will bounce off of checks because of the following changes.
Size, speed, preparedness at 0. These three are the key to keeping the hit numbers realistic and not super high. Still doing some testing on these to see if only one of them affect the numbers but I had changed from 50, to 10 and then 0 and the difference in numbers was great.
Poke checking accuracy at 20 for human to make it tougher to poke away.
Stick lift 85 for human because the cpu seems to be able to do it fairly easy and since we can't poke check as easy.

Penalties,
Always seems to be a bit of a work in progress.
Tripping low since that one is so easy to call compared to others.

AI, use this section to fine tune your game

I recorded a period of play if you want to take a look.
I player lock as the RD on Pittsburgh.
Shots are low after the first period but decent at the end. May have to play 8 minute periods instead of 7 to get a few more shots, but teams often have more offensive zone time and get in the low 30's, this one just ended up with lower shots.

Just played a game with these. Crazy fun game and some great looking stats too. All types of different goals too. Nice job! Loving how different this game plays between different slider sets.

Are these designed to be for PL? or is PL just recommended?

I don't see why they wouldn't be good for full team control, though may need some tuning to adjust for you controlling all the players.
I have just used player lock for a few years, so not tested with full team control.

The cpu controlled opponent will be the same but depending on how you play your team stats could be different. Controlling the whole team you may shut them down since it's not cpu on cpu for most of the positions or you may take players out of position allowing more goals. Same with offence if you're good at switching you might find it easier to score.

A couple things you could do to tune it for the difference is adjust the shot accuracy, reduce puck control, increase the cpu difficulty slider.

Thanks for trying them out!
Appreciate the feedback.

Yeah the different slider sets do make a big difference which is really nice so everyone can find a style of game play they like.

Played just 1 game with them so far, and I enjoyed the gameplay. Actually lost.

I will probably add a little bit of Fatigue recovery, and maybe up the USER pass accuracy a slight bit, but overall they played well.

I like how if the game play is good losing doesn't sting quite as much.

Thanks for trying them. I think like all slider sets tweaks and tuning it to get your base set is needed.

Pass accuracy especially if your controlling all players is one I could see possibly needing to be increased. I play as defence so most of my passes are fairly straight ahead.
