MizzouRah NHL 17 AS Sliders

It's taken me quite some time to really find settings that fit my play style in this years NHL game. I'm mostly a default player, but I have tweaked a few things, mainly upping the goalies so they are a bit tougher and mostly make the saves they are supposed to make. I was having some really high scoring games. I also prefer manual passing OFF as manual passing takes to long to charge up sometimes. I like aim assist, have the CPU do my line changes and also have the CPU adjust my strategies during the game, feel free to change these if you prefer a more hands on approach.

I understand these sliders may not be for anyone, but I wanted to at least post what I'm using. I have a hard enough time passing, shooting and trying to keep myself switched to a player that can take away a wide open shot/slapshot - so I like to use aim assist, auto line changes and auto strategy adjustments. NHL 17 is tougher for me to win than any previous EA NHL game.

I always use the latest patch and tuner. I'm 65 games into my Blues season 1, (35-26-4) 74 pts, in 4th place behind Nashville, Dallas and Winnipeg.

These settings I have used for 5 games now, just slight tweaks from what I've been using.

I have no idea how to get sliders to stick this year, so I just change them before each game, below are the ONLY sliders I change from default 4/4 full sim.

**MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR SLIDERS BEFORE EACH GAME, I HAVE TO CHANGE MINE BEFORE EACH FRANCHISE GAME**

If you take nothing away from this set.. at least try the goalie sliders out as so far, it has stopped the goofy goals and the own goals scored by the defensemen.

Beefing up the goalies has made huge difference, imo.

Passing % has always been in favor of the CPU, don't worry about that.

As far as scoring goes, aim for the top corners of the net.

Re: MizzouRah NHL 17 AS Sliders

Thank you for posting these sliders. Both my son and I are new to EA NHL although I used to have '94 that I loved. All of our gaming is offline head to head for now and we do a lot of playoffs.

For now, I believe a lot of our default settings are close to yours. But we haven't gotten into the sliders yet.

Do your goaltending sliders make the goalies better at stopping shots from just inside the blue line and also crossing within 15 feet from the crease? These are pretty much guaranteed goals for us at this point. I know that proper D will help cut that down but right now the goalies just cannot be trusted.

In my experience, yes it does.

I haven't seen any goofy goals and although I can have a high scoring game every now and then, for the most part they play like NHL goalies.
