AlTito's NHL 18 Sliders

Hi again everyone!

Below are the sliders I use right now in NHL 18. As always, I tried to get a good mix of fun and realism, with a sloppy gameplay and a lot of loose pucks. I will be making tweaks while I continue playing and I will try to keep this post as updated as possible to reflect the changes I make. Latest updates will also be shown at the bottom of this post to make it easier to follow.

Like every year, according to your skill level, you can play on All-Star or Superstar difficulties. You should start with CPU Difficulty Adjustment at 0 and if it becomes too easy, you may increase it by a few clicks. You can play the game on 6 to 8 minutes periods, but I suggest you to play 8 minutes if you want to get more realistic stats.

And don't be afraid to adjust things to your liking or needs, these sliders are only there as a base. Have fun!

Note: I also suggest you to raise puck control for both Human and CPU before the beginning of a shootout.

I havent tried any of your sets before but I imagine they are better than default. What I miss is a little explanation about why you put some sliders at certain number and some comment about your thought process based on your sliders.

Re: AlTito's NHL 18 Sliders

I won't comment every sliders individually because it would be way too long, however like I said in the first post, I always try to get a good balance between realism and fun. Since I spent a lot of time last year analyzing each slider and testing what they did to gameplay, this year it was way easier to come to a solid set right from the beginnning. I first tried the game on full sim default and thought it was playing pretty similar to last year's version. Then, I plugged in my NHL 17 sliders and simply had to make a few adjustments here and there to get the game near where I want it to be. It's still a work in progress though, so there will be updates coming in the next days/weeks.

Play the game with his sliders enough to have a sample of experience from which to ask questions...he is always more than helpful.

Have you been able to get realistic stats on 20 min periods?

Re: AlTito's NHL 18 Sliders

Al, I'm curious if you've tried these sliders with the "gameplay update" available for download on the main menu?

I've done some experimenting, and I feel the update absolutely screws up the new ai, and ai in general. With the default gameplay turner (v 1.00) these sliders are absolutely money.
