Not sure what you have your aggression slider set to, but I know if the CPU is overly aggressive (to include your CPU teammates that you’re not controlling) there’s a tendency to have a few too many penalties called. Maybe adjust your penalty slider to 1 and see what happens. Or this was just a once a game in every 10 games scenario. How many games have you played where you’ve had this many penalties?

Actually the last few have been pretty bad, i might drop the penalty slider to 1 to see if that fixes it. I noticed on some peoples sliders they have CPU aggression slider as low as 10, i might have to try that.

It’s worth a shot I suppose. As with any EA title, we’re unsure as to what every slider actually does. I have always been a believer that the definitions that are provided are vague. We can always take our best guess and test differences for hours on end, but I don’t think we’ll ever have the realism that we’re looking for unfortunately. Thanks for all of the hard work you’ve been doing with your testing though. The results are very interesting.

i agree, i can't test too much more. I am actually really happy with the game play i have, if I can fix the amount of penalties then great, but if i can't then i'll just live with it. I want to start my season this Friday.

Bummer. Feels like NHL fails to properly simulate the disparity between one and done CHL bros and AHL/fringe NHL talent. I usually like having it max or near max to properly do so. Seems like the game doesn't want to have a genuine gap between 50s-60s vs 60s-70s players because of EASHL/Online play modes the past few years instead of a true sim.
