Y'know, with the minimum passing at 45 and manual passing off, don't you think the passing is extremely fast? Or does this work out better in the end?
I was wondering the same thing. I feel like there's too much ping-ponging of the puck that takes away from the game because of the pacing. Maybe that's just me. I don't see defensemen take shots either.
You know what to expect by now: simulation hockey. Throughout the years, I've never been afraid of pushing bounderies and trying different things with sliders. This year is no different. These were tested via CPUvCPU, and using the True Broadcast Cam in order to get an accurate measure of game and player speed.
The main areas I wanted to focus on were getting penalties, especially slashing calls, in realistic ranges. I also wanted to ensure that the flow and pace of an NHL game is on display with this set. I made a lot of tweaks to concepts I tried in previous years, especially the pace of the game.
Give them a go, and let me know what you think.

SKATING
All of the skating sliders work in conjunction with the game speed slider, passing sliders and fatigue sliders to represent the pace and flow of the game.

SHOOTING
With these shooting sliders, what I wanted to do was ensure the balance between shots, goals and misses was improved. I wanted to see more tipped pucks and players using screens. I wanted the quality of the chance to show here.

CHECKING
Attributes matter here. Physical players will stand out. Not every bodycheck registers on the hit counter.
PENALTIES
Penalties were really out of hand this year. For the first time ever, I had to tone them down. Now, we should be back in the 3 per team ballpark, depending on teams involved.

Cycloniac, will you be releasing a slider set for NHL 20?
Awesome, can’t wait!! I used your sliders for NHL 19 and they made the game A LOT better for me and how I like to play. I’ll be picking up my pre-order today and I’ll be looking forward to what you post.
Played one game today in Play Now with the slider set from last year and didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. I really liked the pace of the game and the CPU was more aggressive with the puck. I’m anxious to see if your slider set for this year has any drastic changes....
