PosPlayerInjury Note
N/AN/ANo injuries

1st Period - The opening 10 minutes of the game were evenly played with neither team having much of an advantage with a couple scoring chances for each team where Rask and Miller were forced to make tough saves. Boston would open the scoring when Wagner took a pass from Nordstrom on the rush and found Charlie McAvoy jumping into the play and McAvoy would rip a shot off the post and in to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead with 8:17 left in the period. The Bruins were controlling play late in the period and generating shots on goal but the score remained 1-0. The Bruins would lose Charlie Coyle for the rest of the game with 0:56 left in the period in what could be a pivotal moment in this game and perhaps the series as Coyle was called for a 5 minute major and given a game misconduct for boarding Cam Fowler putting the Ducks on a 5 minute PP. The Ducks would begin the PP with a quick shot that Rask turned aside and Boston would clear the puck a couple times as the period came to an end with the Bruins leading 1-0 and holding a 13-6 edge in shots

2nd Period - The Ducks would begin the 2nd period with 4:04 remaining on the PP and Boston was doing a great job on the PK until Henrique took a shot that was blocked in front by Chara but the puck would bounce off his leg and land right on the stick of Rickard Rackell who had an open net and fired a quick shot past the diving attempt of Rask for a PP goal to tie the game at 1-1 with 17:45 left in the period and 1:49 of PP time still remaining. Boston would kill the remaining PP time and get back to even strength with 15:56 to play in the period and the score tied 1-1. Anaheim was starting to control play as they had momentum and Boston was having to rotate centers through the 4th line as they were playing with 11 forwards and Kuraly moved up to Coyle's spot centering the 3rd line. The Bruins would take the lead as a tenacious forecheck by Anders Bjork led to a turnover when Bjork poked the puck away from Del Zotto and Charlie McAvoy would pickup the loose puck and walk the blue line before firing a cannon of a slap shot by Miller for his 2nd goal of the night to give Boston a 2-1 lead with 8:43 left in the period. The Ducks answered back less than a minute later when Cam Fowler fired a shot from the point that Rask never saw through heavy traffic to tie the game up 2-2 with 7:49 to play in the period. The Ducks would have a couple chances near the end of the period but Rask came up with big stops on Steel and Kase to keep the score tied as the 2nd period would come to an end with the score tied 2-2 and Boston out-shooting Anaheim 23-15 after 40 minutes

3rd Period - The Bruins and Ducks would head to the 3rd period tied up at 2-2 with 20 minutes left to decide a winner. The next 20 minutes are critical as the Bruins look to take a 2-0 series lead and the Ducks can bring the series back to Anaheim tied up 1-1 if they can find a way to win this game. The Bruins were carrying the play early in the period and would grab the lead when Carlo fired a long pass hitting Patrice Bergeron in stride through the neutral zone and Bergeron would get around Wideman and beat Miller with a move to the backhand for a gorgeous goal to give Boston a 3-2 lead with 13:06 left to play. Tuukka Rask came up huge with an incredible save with just under 10:00 to play as he made the initial stop on a shot from Henrique and then went into a full split to absolutely rob Ritchie with his pad on the follow up keeping it a 3-2 game. Boston would get a big insurance goal soon after the Rask save when Krug fired a shot from the point that Bergeron got a stick on to tip it on the way in and the change of direction was just enough as the puck would trickle through Miller and over the line for Bergeron's second goal of the game to extend the Bruins lead to 4-2 with 8:03 remaining. The clock would wind down under 5:00 to play with the Ducks trailing 4-2 and playing with desperation as they try to mount a comeback. The Bruins were doing a great job of staying within their defensive structure and making safe plays as the clock ticked under 2:00 to play. Anaheim would get Miller off for the extra attacker with just under 1:00 left and Sean Kuraly would score the empty net goal to put the finishing touches on a 5-2 victory for the Bruins

* The Bruins and Ducks were tied 2-2 entering the 3rd period before Patrice Bergeron scored a pair of 3rd period goals and Boston would add an empty net goal to win Game #2 by a score of 5-2

* The Bruins take a 2-0 series lead and are just 2 wins away from winning the Stanley Cup

* Patrice Bergeron scored 2 goals in the 3rd to turn a 2-2 tie into a 4-2 lead for the Bruins. Bergeron has been outstanding through the first two games of the finals with 3 goals & 2 assists for 5 points. Bergeron now has 9 goals in the playoffs

* Charlie McAvoy scored 2 goals for Boston and now has 3 goals and 2 assists for 5 points through the first two games of the finals

* Tuukka Rask stopped 21 of 23 shots in a strong bounce back performance after allowing 5 goals in Game #1

* Ryan Miller stopped 27 of 31 shots in the loss for Anaheim

* Cam Fowler and Rickard Rackell scored goals for Anaheim and Rackell has goals in both games so far in the finals

* The Bruins will be without Matt Grzelcyk for Game 3 and Game 4 as he was diagnosed after the game with a mild concussion.

* The Bruins will call up D Jeremy Lauzon from Providence to take Grzelcyk's spot on the 3rd D pair with John Moore. Lauzon will be appearing in his first career playoff game as he gets thrust right into the Stanley Cup Finals

* The series now shifts to Anaheim for Games #3 and #4 at Honda Center with the Bruins in control of the series leading 2-0. The Ducks need to win Game #3 or will find themselves trailing 3-0 and on the brink of elimination.

Stanley Cup Finals
Game #3- Boston Bruins @ Anaheim Ducks
(Boston leads series 2-0)

The Stanley Cup Finals shifts to Honda Center in Anaheim for Game #3 with the Bruins leading the series 2-0 and the Ducks in a must win situation as they try to avoid falling behind 3-0. The Ducks are still without star goalie John Gibson who is close to returning from a back injury. Boston will have rookie defenseman Jeremy Lauzon appearing in his first career playoff game as he steps in for Matt Grzelcyk who was injured in Game #2

1st Period - The Ducks came out flying to begin Game #3 and had the Bruins scrambling in their defensive end in the opening minutes but only mustered one shot on goal despite the zone time as most of their shot attempts either sailed wide or were blocked in front of Rask. The Bruins would open the scoring when Lauzon transitioned the puck up ice and Coyle fired the first shot on net for Boston that Miller kicked out but the rebound went right to Danton Heinen who slid it into the net to give the Bruins an early 1-0 lead. Anaheim went on the PP midway through the period with Marchand going to the box for slashing but the Ducks were unable to cash in as the Bruins PK unit did a good job and the score remained 1-0. The Ducks would get on the board when Rask stopped a point shot by Fowler and Chara attempted to clear the rebound out of danger but his clearing attempt was knocked down by Nick Ritchie who collected the puck and beat Rask with a quick shot to tie the score at 1-1 with 6:27 remaining in the period. Anaheim would take the lead late in the period on another turnover by Chara who was having a rough 1st period as Shore intercepted Chara's pass and fed Sam Steel who fired a one timer past Rask to give the Ducks a 2-1 lead with 1:18 left in the period. The 1st period would end with the Ducks leading 2-1 and the shots 11-7 in favor of Boston

2nd Period - The Bruins would even things up early in the 2nd period on some great work from the 4th line who has been outstanding all throughout the playoffs as Nordstrom set up Wagner for a chance that was denied by Miller but Sean Kuraly was there to bury the rebound for his 7th goal of the playoffs to tie the score at 2-2 with 14:55 left in the period. The Bruins defensive zone play continued to be sloppy and the Ducks would answer midway through the period when Carter Rowney was left all alone at the side of the net and he would score on a rebound after Rask stopped the initial shot by Mahura as the Ducks take a 3-2 lead with 10:23 to play in the period. Boston would respond with 5:24 left in the period when Kuhlman slid the puck back to Carlo at the point and his shot was redirected by Danton Heinen for his 2nd goal of the night on the deflection to tie the score at 3-3. The Ducks had heavy pressure in the final minute of the period but Rask came up big with a point blank save on Rakell and the period would come to an end with the score tied 3-3 and Boston out-shooting Anaheim 24-17

3rd Period - Game #3 would head to the 3rd period tied at 3-3 with what could be the most important period of the series coming up as the Ducks need to win this game to avoid falling behind 3-0 in the series while the Bruins can push the Ducks to the brink of elimination with a solid period of hockey. Anaheim would get a big early PP opportunity when Coyle was called tripping with 17:46 to play but they were unable to cash in as Boston survives the PK and returns to even strength with 15:46 left and the score tied 3-3. The Ducks went back on the PP after Chara was called for tripping with 12:23 remaining but they were unsuccessful again as the Bruins PK unit came up with another big kill and the Bruins get back to even strength setting the stage for what should be an exciting finish as the clock ticks under 10:00 to play in regulation with the score tied 3-3. The Bruins were carrying the play and generating heavy offensive pressure but Miller would make several high pressure saves as the score remained tied 3-3 and the clock would tick under 5:00 to play. Boston would have a golden opportunity to break the tie when Anders Bjork drew a hooking call on Adam Henrique to put the Bruins on the powerplay with 4:42 remaining. The Bruins set up on the man advantage but struggled to get good looks as the Ducks PK unit did a tremendous job and would kill off the penalty to Henrique and return to even strength with 2:42 left in regulation and the score still tied 3-3. Boston was controlling the puck in the offensive zone with just over 2:00 to play and had the Ducks chasing in their own end as Debrusk and Krejci worked the cycle down low before Debrusk moved the puck to Krug who played the puck back down low along the boards to Krejci who skated around the Anaheim net and found Anders Bjork with a cross ice pass and Bjork would fire a one timer past Miller for a beautifully set up goal to give the Bruins a 4-3 lead with 1:58 remaining. Anaheim would get Miller to the bench for the extra attacker with just over 1:00 to play as they frantically tried to get the game tying goal. The Ducks had the puck in the offensive zone skating 6 against 5 and had a good chance with 0:43 left when Silfverberg ripped a shot from the high slot that Rask stopped with the pad and the rebound went into a scrum of bodies in front before Ritchie was able to dig it out and pass back to Fowler who wound up for a slap shot but his shot went wide of the net and David Pastrnak would gain possession for Boston and skate the puck out of the zone and bury the empty net goal to make it 5-3 with 0:26 remaining. The final seconds would tick away and the Bruins go on to win 5-3

* The Bruins grind out a hard fought 5-3 victory in Game #3 in Anaheim to put a stranglehold on the series as Boston leads the series 3-0 and is one win away from winning the Stanley Cup

* The game was tied 3-3 entering the 3rd period and the score remained 3-3 until late in the period when David Krejci found Anders Bjork for the go ahead goal with 1:58 remaining

* Danton Heinen scored 2 goals for Boston giving him 5 goals to go along with 6 assist for 11 points in the playoffs

* Tuukka Rask stopped 25 of 28 shots and played really well despite some shaky defensive play in the 1st and 2nd periods and Rask would slam the door in the 3rd period coming up with some big saves with the game hanging in the balance

* Anders Bjork scored the game winner with 1:58 left in the 3rd period for his 3rd goal of the playoffs to go along with 7 assists for 10 points

* Sean Kuraly scored his 7th goal of the playoffs as the Bruins 4th line continues to be the unsung hero of this cup run. The 4th line of Nordstrom-Kuraly-Wagner has combined for 11 goals & 12 assists and a +17 rating

* Jeremy Lauzon was skating in his first career playoff game after being called up to replace Grzelcyk for Boston and Lauzon played well showing no sign of nerves while skating 15:34 of ice time and picking up an assist.

* Ryan Miller stopped 33 of 37 shots faced and gave the Ducks a chance to win

* The Ducks goals came from Nick Ritchie, Carter Rowney and Sam Steel

* The Ducks will get a huge boost as their star goalie John Gibson will return for Game #4 hoping that he can be the hero and get things turned around for Anaheim as Gibson had been the leagues best goalie in the playoffs prior to getting injured in Game #6 of the Western Conference Finals posting a 1.94 GAA and .941 Save% through 16 games played

* The Stanley Cup will be in the building for Game #4 at Honda Center as the Bruins lead the series 3-0 and will have a chance to end the series while the Ducks need a win to stay alive

Stanley Cup Finals
Game #4- Boston Bruins @ Anaheim Ducks
(Boston leads series 3-0)

The Stanley Cup is in the building as the Bruins are one win away from a championship as they lead the series 3-0. The Ducks need to win Game #4 to stay alive and force a Game #5 back in Boston. Anaheim will have their star goalie John Gibson in net for the first time in this series as Gibson returns from back spasms that caused him to miss the first 3 games

1st Period - The Bruins came out buzzing and tested Gibson early but he would make some quality saves in the opening minutes showing no signs of rust. Anaheim would get the games first PP when Marchand was called for slashing with 14:19 left in the period but the Bruiins would kill it off and the game remained scoreless. The Bruins and Ducks each had quality chances in the middle stages of the period as the shots were even at 8-8 but both Rask and Gibson were playing well and the game remained tied 0-0. The Ducks would go on the PP when Carlo went to the box for hooking with 6:08 to play in the period. The Ducks had good puck movement and generated a couple good looks on the man advantage but could not score as Rask made the saves and Boston would kill it off and return to even strength with just over 4:00 to play in the period. The final minute of the period was winding down when Nordstrom knocked Manson off the puck on the forecheck along the side wall and Wagner would collect the loose puck and fire a cross ice pass to Charlie Coyle who wound up for a one timer and blew a rocket past Gibson with 0:07 left in the period to give Boston a 1-0 lead. The 1st period would end with the Bruins leading 1-0 and the shots were even at 11-11

2nd Period - Anaheim had a great scoring chance early in the 2nd period when John Moore's stick exploded on a slap shot attempt leading to a 2 on 1 rush the other way for the Ducks as Ritchie raced up the ice and slid a pass over to Henrique but Rask would make a huge positional save and freeze the puck with 18:01 remaining in the period. Boston would lose David Krejci when he was leveled by Mahura on a big open ice hit and had to be helped down the tunnel with an injury with 15:50 to play in the period leaving the Bruins without their 2nd line center. The Bruins would go on their first PP when Kiefer Sherwood was called for slashing with 12:18 left in the period and Boston had some good looks on the PP but Gibson came up with some difficult stops as he stopped a Krug slap shot through a screen and denied Marchand on a one timer to keep it a 1-0 game as Anaheim returned to even strength with 10:18 left in the period. Chris Wagner would go to the box for hooking to put Anaheim on the PP with 8:21 left in the period. The Bruins would come up with another big effort from the PK unit but it came at a cost as Patrice Bergeron was in the slot and took a Cam Fowler slap shot right in the chest that sent Bergeron to the bench as he was hunched over in pain and went down the tunnel with the trainer. The Bruins were now missing their top two centers as Kerjci and Bergeron have both been injured in this game and Boston was down to 10 forwards. The Bruins had the Ducks scrambling in the final minute of the period as Boston had offensive zone pressure but Gibson would deny Coyle and Wagner in the closing seconds and the 2nd period would come to an end with the Bruins leading 1-0 and the shots were 27-17 in favor of Boston

3rd Period - The Bruins were 20 minutes away from winning the Stanley Cup as they enter the 3rd period with a 1-0 lead and will need a full team effort in the 3rd period as they are down to 10 forwards after Bergeron and Krejci both exited the game with injuries forcing the Bruins coaching staff to do some line juggling as Cole moves up to center the 1st line with Pastrnak and Marchand while Danton Heinen slides over from wing to center Debrusk and Bjork on the 2nd line and Kuraly will center Nordstrom and Kuhlman on the 3rd line with Chris Wagner will have floating line mates on the 4th line. The Ducks came out flying to begin the 3rd period as they try to come from behind and extend the series and they would get an early PP opportunity just 1:14 into the period as Carlo went off for tripping. John Moore was called for tripping with 1:06 left on the penalty to Carlo setting up a 5 on 3 PP as the Ducks would have a two man advantage. Anaheim went to work on the 5 on 3 PP and moved the puck around to create shooting lanes but Rask denied Kase and Getzlaf on point blank chances as Carlo came out of the box. The Bruins would survive the PK as they killed off the remaining PP time and Moore would exit the box as Boston returns to even strength with the 1-0 lead intact and just under 16:00 left to play. The Bruins were defending well and making safe plays as they protect the 1-0 lead and the clock would wind down past the midway point of the 3rd period and the final 10:00 of regulation. The Ducks were attacking with a sense of urgency as they desperately need a goal trailing 1-0 as the clock ticked under 8:00 to play. The Ducks had a couple chances with 7:30 to play but Rask would make a big stop on Silfverberg who was alone in the high slot and Karson Kuhlman went down to the ice for a huge block of a Fowler slap shot and was forced to ice the puck to calm things down with 7:16 remaining. The Bruins had a chance to add an insurance goal when Pastrnak got loose for a breakaway with just under 6:00 remaining but Gibson came up with a huge save to keep it a 1-0 game. The Honda Center crowd was on their feet as we were headed to an exciting finish to what has been an outstanding Game #4 as the Bruins were clinging to a 1-0 lead as the clock ticked under 5:00 to play. Anaheim was in full attack mode as they need a goal to stay alive but Boston could taste victory and was defending well and getting pucks deep trying to bleed the clock as they were now 4:00 away from winning the Stanley Cup. John Gibson was doing everything he could to try and will the Ducks to victory as Anders Bjork poked the puck away from Del Zotto in the neutral zone and raced in all alone trying to put the game away but Gibson would make another huge stop to keep it a one goal game as play would stop on an offside call with 3:34 remaining and Boston leading 1-0. The Bruins 10 forwards were exhausted and Boston would use their timeout to get everyone some rest and discuss strategy as they were 3:34 away from winning the Stanley Cup and clinging to a 1-0 lead. The Ducks were struggling to set up in the offensive zone as Boston was clogging up the neutral zone and chipping pucks out as the clock ticked down to the final 2:00 of regulation. The clock would stop on an offside call with exactly 1:30 remaining and Boston would control the puck off the faceoff as McAvoy skated the puck back to his own end to bleed some time and pass to Debrusk who gained the red line at center ice and dumped it in to get fresh legs on the ice as the clock ticked under 1:00 to play. Anaheim would get Gibson to the bench for the extra attacker with 0:51 remaining as they have one last gasp to try and score the equalizer and keep their season alive. Zdeno Chara would chip the puck out and Anaheim would regroup and come back up ice on the attack with 0:32 left and Josh Manson would pass to Getzlaf as the Ducks tried to enter the offensive zone but Brad Marchand would get his stick in the way to break up the pass and Marchand would skate across center ice and slide the puck into the open net for an empty net goal to make it 2-0 with 0:23 left as the Bruins start to celebrate on their bench. Tuukka Rask would make a couple more saves in the closing seconds and the horn would sound as the Bruins pour over the boards to mob Tuukka Rask and start the celebration

* The Bruins are 2020 Stanley Cup Champions as they grind out a hard fought 2-0 victory in Game #4 to sweep the Ducks 4-0. The victory is a sweet one for Boston after they lost in Game 7 to St Louis in last years finals

* The game was scoreless when Charlie Coyle scored what would prove to be the eventual game winner with 7 seconds left in 1st period. The Bruins would lose Krejci in the 1st period and Bergeron in the 2nd period as their top two centers were forced to exit the game with injuries and Boston was forced to play the remainder of the game with 10 forwards. The score remained 1-0 as the Bruins were hanging on to the one goal lead until Brad Marchand potted the empty net goal with 23 seconds remaining

* Tuukka Rask stopped all 30 shots faced to earn the shutout and cap off an outstanding playoff run for the Bruins goaltender as Rask goes 16-3 in the playoffs with a 2.35 GAA and .910 save % with 2 shutouts

* Patrice Bergeron wins the Conn Smythe Trophy and is named the MVP of the Stanley Cup Playoffs as Bergeron finished with a team leading 18 points (9 goals & 9 assists)

* Brad Marchand scored his team leading 10th goal of the playoffs for Boston and finished with 17 points (10 goals & 7 assists)

* Charlie Coyle scored his 7th goal of the playoffs and finished a terrific playoff run with 16 points (7 goals & 9 assists)

* John Gibson returned for Anaheim after missing the first 3 games of the series with back spasms and Gibson played incredible allowing just 1 goal as he stopped 38 of 39 shots faced

* The Bruins will head into the off-season with some decisions to make as the majority of their core will return for the 2021 season but front office will need to make some moves to free up some cap space to resign some of the younger players who will head into free agency

Re: TNK NHL 20 SLIDERS

I like you're slider, one of things I liked, was the penalty sliders, slashing at 10 and hooking at 15, what else did I like about was , everything seemed in-line with each other no problems or issues, almost in-sync with another, only things I might burrow from this is is slashing and hooking, in my setting only things I raised was tripping 25 and elbowing 100 and high sticking 100 and cross checking 100 and slash 10 and boarding at 50 and charging at 50 and delay of games at 65 and holding at 55 and hooking at 12 and interference at 95, cpu penalties at 25 and cpu teammate penalties at 25.

but other then that good job on settings, u and clyconic and AL TITO almost share similarities to one another, good job three of u!
