Jake19ny Pro sliders

Here are the sets I'm using. I find Pro plays a more realistic style game. This game still has its issues and I have plenty of beef with it but its playable this year and I'm having some fun with these. Every game I see something I love. Kind of makes me crazy because we all know this game could be so much better if they gave a crap about us offline sim guys.

these sliders start on 4-4 Hardcore Sim with 8 min periods.

I'm only posting sliders I changed if its not here its on default.

There they are. I play this game on default speed because I think the faster pace replicates the highspeed of hockey better. In the past I always slowed the game down. dont know how these will do in a slower pace game.

Sliders are always subjective to a persons personal play style but please share any feedback.

Re: Jake19ny Pro sliders

Thank you for these - will be following this thread. Many thanks!!

(I've been so busy with life that I just have been too tired to play video games - but at some point I'll give these a go. Might be awhile, but I appreciate you sharing these! Thanks!!)

No problem. Its the first time I’m actually playing a season since NHL 14 on PS3. I just couldn’t do it in the other release they were so bad offline. I’m actually enjoying this year.

I very much appreciate your views on the game and how you talk about the flaws. I don't enjoy the games in the past as much as I have in the past so I am going to try out your sliders and see how it goes

Played 1 game

Playing as the Oilers vs the Canucks and was a pretty fun game but in the 3rd, the Canucks just basically took over the game. They were all over the place, swarming me like I have never seen my guys do. Besides that, I ended up winning 4 to 3 but the goals were all legit good looking hockey goals except the one that Kharia scored into an empty net. Jurco took a shot at the open goal and missed and Kharia did some spinning backhand out of nowhere and scored, was kind of funny but weird.

For the game, I was 2 for 6 on the PP and the Canucks were 1 for 5. Good totals for me. Faceoffs were 23 to 23 but I suck at faceoffs. TOA was 6:38 for the Canucks and 5:59 for me. Solid I would say. Total shots however was 42 for the Canucks and 24 for the Oilers. However, the Canucks had 26 shots in the 3rd period to my 3. I am pretty good at the game but I have never seen the onslaught that the Canucks threw at me. Not sure if that is a good thing or not but it was what it was.

Like I said, overall was a fun game but the 3rd was suspect the way the game played. I was shocked that with the sliders, there was a few more loose pucks and some not so crisp passes. I think the passing accuracy is too high so might try lowering that but overall, it felt good and like you, I actually enjoyed the game. I will post more games as I play them.

Re: Jake19ny Pro sliders

Liking the idea of a few tweaks from default rather than majorly overhauling the sliders. The game has been programmed a certain way and I think the more the sliders are changed it tends to create odd gameplay in areas. Also I find it just becomes a frustrating cycle through different slider sets every year rather than enjoying the game.

Your sliders are great I think, I find them v hard to score but I'm not that amazing of a player despite having played most years since 93. I like the threat of slap shots on the default sliders and I find that most of the slider sets including yours make it difficult to impossible to score this way or even on clean shots. It mainly becomes a one timer battle even with plenty of cycling.

I'm interested to know, have you changed any of the settings since you posted these up?
