Can't get passing, setting up, interceptions etc.... Please help

Desperate to get this game working. Spent 2 months lowing player attributes to make it more realistic (more separation), but can't get a good mix. I concede that it's probabley ME not understanding.....
Playing Season on A S.... I want to try and get Ovie set up in the LC on PP, but the CPU seems to dart everywhere on the PK, so it's near impossible to "set up"....
I decreased the game speed to 0, the skating speed / acc sliders, but the CPU still races around like Hornets!
Same as the passing.... I have upped pass assistance to 90...but still can't thread a pass, (but the CPU goess tape to tape.....
I have increased my HUM poke check, interceptions, and lowered the corresponding CPU slider, but that seems to make things worse....
Am I totally misreading?
Any help for an old fart please??

Try lowering the aggression slider under checking.

Thank you Kazjason, dropped to about 22 but still all over me.
I am wondering if I am reading the Pass Interceptions, Pass Accuracy slider correct.
For instance, is it referring to how frequently I will be intercepted, or how frequently I will intercept the CPU.
For instance I WOULD think the below example would see me complete passes More...
PASS INTERCEPTIONS
CPU 14
HUM 62.....
Or is it saying that, in that example, I have a higher chance of me being intercepted?
Also, does Pass Assistance effect BOTH human and CPU....???

You have it right. The lower the value CPU Pass Interceptions is, the less they will intercept your passes. I rock 15 for my sliders on SS difficulty.

Not telling you to use my sliders over anyone else.....everyone does good work

But check out my slider thread, I have box scores from every game of my franchise to show the variety and game to game stats. I have games where the CPU is all over me and games where I'm all over them and a lot of games in the happy medium

If you're still struggling to find something that works or feels right, give them a try and let me know how it goes

Guys thank you so much. I truly want to enjoy this. I always feel that there's not enough separation between players so have spent an age editing...
I want it to play a realistic style, where I can win the game on a Ovie one timer, rather than a Hathaway breakaway..... I just can't seem to get anything set up....
Can't grasp the sliders, the lower I put certain settings (CPU pass accuracy) the harder the game?
The Attribute Effect Slider, seems to do nothing (seen some users have it at 5,some 7, some 10)

Played some games on Pro, which were decent, but the CPU would score 3 goals from where in 30 seconds... suddenley scoring from Gretzky like 4th liners....
All Star plays a more grittier, realistic game, but when I am in the O zone, the CPU is on at me in a flash, and intercepts every pass (despite me lowering the pass int, and me having pass acc and pass *** on 90 plus....)
It has to be me (in my old age) but I just can't get it sorted.

The game is hard-coded to pressure you in the way you're describing. May I ask what your full slider setup is? What roster edits did you make?

You could try:
-increasing pass reception ease
-decreasing CPU acceleration
-decreasing CPU skating speed

Finally... got a slider set that works for me.!

All Star was just too CPU perfect, and as the Caps I just couldn't get any pressure on the zone, as even on the most favorable sliders, the CPU was overwhelming.
Pro was too easy, I had nothing but time and space, and was blowing shots through the D....

Went to Pro settings, and made the game "harder" from there with adjustments to the sliders,, rather than going to AllStar and trying to make it "easier "

Had spent 2 Mouths pretty much lowering ever player attributes, mainly shot acc, speed, endurance to make it a little more lifelike, and with my "reduced roster", the game plays well.

If anyone wants to know, just shout out.

Care to share these? Been struggling with the same problem for ages between the "gap" between pro and all-star and i believe i´m not alone with this. Not asking you to start your own slider thread but please elaborate.
