    Ideas for Goal Songs

Need songs for custom goal horn and songs for NHL 12. Prefer to stay away from the norm like Zombie Nation, RRP2, Crowd Chant.

Here's are some that I have discovered or have found from others suggestions, etc.

Feel free to list anything you think would be cool as a goal song. No real requirement, but the song should energize the crowd, etc. - Basically no Celine Dion
    My Heart Will Go On"

    Song - Artist

    Uprising - Muse
Pretty good, maybe a little soft in parts for a goal song, but could work.

    Hey Hey - Superchick
I typed in Hey Hey in a search box and got this.
One of the better ones. kind of almost meant for hockey.
P.S. iMO, "Hey Hey" goes best with I think Chicago's horn - no reason

    Electric Worry - Clutch
Might have been used before or in the past, but from about one minute in until the 1:35 mark and again from the 2:05 mark - could make for a good upbeat goal song. I think the Canucks just started using this -someone let me know if it's true. Still this could become the new overused goal song soon.

What I Like About You - The Romantics
Now, I don't know of any NHL teams that use this officially as their goal horn, but I'd bet that all 30 teams use it for break-in-play and intermission, etc. This could work great as a goal song. Maybe the lyrics (Coming over tonight is what he likes about you....?) Can't be any worse than that "ode to a striper?" song right?

    Whoa - Say When
This is an interesting idea I think for a goal song - The lyrics may not necessarily fit the whole perspective of a hockey game, but the first half has got the Whoa's and that 'Boston' vibe and feel to it - hmm wonder why?

    The Race - Yello
I'll let you decide what part could work for the goal song.

Are You Ready For This - Jock Jams Version
Forget the original artist (2 Unlimited?), and this is popular in arenas for break-in-play, intermission but I don't know of many that use it as a goal song anymore. Probably because it was once as overused as RRP2. Detroit is the only team I know that with "Hey Hey Hockeytown" has used AYRFT in the last couple of years. Do they still use it on occasion or has RRP2 taken over Hockeytown as well? So maybe AYRFT is due for a comeback.

All Around The World (la la la la la la la la) - ATC (A Touch of Class)
This would probably get tiring and worn out real fast, but if you want to annoy the visiting team for a night or so, you could play this song when you score, get a penalty, take a penalty, etc. Mix in Aqua's Barbie Girl and Eiffel Tower's Blue (Da Ba Dee) for good measure - unless of course the visiting team loves all these songs
    - On second though the home team has to listen to them as well, so...

    What else do ya got?
