Game a 'Go' for Casual NHL cpu vs cpu fan?

I am a casual NHL fan that has been playing/watching cpu vs cpu games on NHL 20 and really enjoying the game. I have been watching all of the NHL and AHL games in season mode on the PS4 and after purchasing a PS5, I moved NHL 20 over to the PS5.

My question is does NHL 23 have 'Season' Mode and would the cpu vs cpu gameplay be similar to NHL 20?

Sure does and if you’re interested in a good cpu vs cpu slider set, check out mine.😀 Occam’s Real Deal Cpu vs CPU sliders. Currently in version 2.

My biggest issue with watching CPU vs CPU in this game is the lack of a solid presentation. There's almost no replays so if you look away from it and hear the announcer get excited about a save or goal, you would have to pause the game and go watch a replay yourself instead of getting a replay of it like you would in every single other sports game. Hell you don't even get replays of goals.

Sadly this is the biggest downfall of NHL23… That and the removal of True Broadcast camera (well the original ones where every arena had it’s own).

They did however vamped up the atmosphere, the graphics, the crowds. Now the color commentary from Cybulski and Ferraro ties everything up like never before… To me that alone brings 23 to a whole other level.

That’s what baffles me and the community as to why they removed "the presentation" package 🤔

At least, you get to see your team's goals replays 😏

I agree it is sorely lacking in Presentation. I was a bit shocked when I played for the first time. But then again as someone who watches EVERY game I can appreciate the speed up. They should have given us the option though. It seems almost every other sports game has that option.

Re: Game a 'Go' for Casual NHL cpu vs cpu fan?

What is mind boggling is that the option for Full Broadcast was in NHL22 and below….

The other thing that has enraged the community is that EA chose the silent route… We removed something that lots of users liked and after launch, in a patch, we also changed the True Broadcast Camera… Deal with it… 😒

It's like a dealer selling you a car and after they come to your house and remove the backseats…. Well we removed it cause not allot of people uses it 😧
