Looks like we will never get the ability to see stats from games played around the league 😞. Would add so much more depth to Franchise mode.

This week is gonna be epic. LFG! Can’t wait to hit the ice. More options is always better. I’m interested to see how we’ll be able to access players from other leagues.

Nice to see a couple ancient issues getting fixed. I swear that Conn Smythe issue has been in the game since NHL 07 LOL

I know a lot of people seem kind of underwhelmed by theses changes, but I think these are some good quality of life changes. Players having the ability to lose and gain X factors will add more life to the mode. Also, I make all of my own lineup decisions but it’s nice to know the CPU coaches will be assigning roles based more true to their play style.

The only thing that I am hoping was fixed that I didn’t see. Last year after the released the patch where if you fired a coach and hired a new one the play styles would finally update to the lineup screen, they unintentionally broke it to where no coaches in the league actually used the new 1-3-1 powerplay and the wedge penalty kill formation. Hopefully this was fixed. It was the BIG NEW gameplay feature and was essentially erased from the game if you play franchise mode. I know you can change it in game, but these are now the most widely used PP and PK strategies in real life and they were obsolete in franchise after the patch.

Also, hopefully they have us the ability to change like strategies this year as they took this option away last year.

They already said they weren’t focused on big changes for BAP or Franchise in year 1 of the new approach. Happy to see they fixed some legacy issues. Not sure it’s enough for me to play Franchise again this year (I’m still playing my 21 franchise), but happy they changed some small things and looking forward to the bigger changes they make next year.

I’m only giving them benefit of the doubt because it’s new leadership over there now. I doubt they’ll put everything that people want in, but I’d hope they’d do a significant revamp of both modes as it should be the focus. But only time will tell.

I think it was 50 teams and 600 players. Goalies might’ve been 50 or 100, but I’m not sure about that.
