NHL 15 Uniforms!

I heard the Arizona Coyotes are bringing back the retro jerseys from the mid 90's this season...

Is there any way EASports is going to remove the jets uniforms and replace them with the correct throwback uniforms?

Especially now that the jets have their own team again? just makes no sense.

Got a link? Only thing I saw is they might bring them back for a retro night. If they are just a "one-off" jersey they probably won't be inluded. I agree they should be in by default but I imagine it is probably a licensing issue.

Those jerseys were ugly, don't know why they'd want to bring it back. EA should just get rid of those Jets jersey for the Coyotes franchise. But unfortunately they can't use it for the current Jets team cause the stupid Coyotes don't want to give up the Jets history.

We don't know much about any aspect of the game at this point, let alone a throwback jersey being included.

Maybe during one of the stellar "blogs" they have released they have a crowd shot of a 'yotes fan taking a selfie and you can see if he has the 90's era jersey on with his awesome face paint.

By the way, I've inquired with several of the departments that handle licensing for uniforms and logos of the NHL and NFL franchises that I am associated with and they both have pretty much stated to me that while everyone that purchases their licenses is bound to the style guide, they do have the rights to use prior logos and uniforms so long as the franchise still owns the rights to them.

The Ducks and Whalers were recent examples of having to obtain additional rights to use their logos/uniforms for their throwback items. But for other teams their entire uniform history should just about be fair game from what was explained to me recently. Which begs the question, why isn't there more uniform options available, in all sports games, with the added memory of the new systems?

I think they might be in some capacity, like create a team or club. But doubt they are selectable as an option for the current Winnipeg Jets. EA has a history of leaving things in the game after they are defunct, sometimes they just aren't accessible but are hidden files.

But full disclosure, I am only basing my opinion off of history as I really haven't talked to anyone at EA in a while and really I don't know one way or the other.

I've always wondered if it's a concession to the league/teams themselves. For example, I'm willing to bet that the people in charge of licensing for the Islanders don't want to see the infamous Gorton Fisherman logo in the game. I can imagine somebody making one phone call to EA, and ... poof, nowhere in sight.

I admit they weren't the greatest looking uniforms. But it IS the nostalgia behind them. I would use them in a heartbeat.

These are the best jerseys they've ever had, in my opinion. I don't know why they always include the Thornton era jerseys, they are horrible and represent a terrible time in Bruin history.
