He's no troll, I can confirm the same thing happened to me. I will post a pic of my game per the rules but I also had to download a 1.4GB update. Only played for a few mins and didn't notice anything different from the xbox one trial that I played.

I am wondering if this patch for physical disk is just catching up the version of the disk to be equal with the early access versions since the disk was likely created well in advanced of the early access version. If it was a patch, one would think the early access would get it as well. I am pretty sure when I bought madden's physical disk, it did the same thing with a patch that really did not appear to do anything.

My best guess is the patch just makes it the same version of the early access...but I hope I am wrong

I couldn't agree more with your thought process on this. I recall the same situation with Madden also.
