These are the things that should have been taken to EA by our representatives for the community event.

I love everything in the OP. One thing I've wanted for a long time was for the game to recognize trades and state that a player you picked up is playing against his former team. Also to recognize approaching/current/recently passed milestones. Seguin is approaching the 40 goal mark! That's Seguin's 40th of the season! Seguin picked up his 40th goal of the season last game, let's see if he can add some more tonight. Stuff like that. Actual relevant commentary. Instead of static remarks that get repeated before every single game like "Seguin is a real star and you can bet they'll look to get him the puck tonight" over and over again. Instead how about "Seguin is their big star and has he ever been hot lately with 7 goals in his last 4 games" or "they rely on Seguin to be a big part of their offense but he's hit a cold streak lately, scoreless in the past 6 games" or "Everyone knows Seguin is having a great year, he sits at 48 goals coming into tonight's contest so we'll see if he can hit 50 here tonight". That's still not even "dynamic" commentary because it still doesn't require the game to react to every little on ice incident realistically but it's more dynamic than the same canned sentences they fun through before all 82 games. Just some awareness of stats and milestones and hot/cold performances.

Totally agree!!!

Dynamic commentary would go a LONG way. Things like, tonight the Blues take on Colorado, Colorado is just 2 points behind the Blues in 3rd place in the Central Division. What are keys to tonight's game? Well, the blues line of Steen - Backes - Oshie have been averaging 2 points a game and need to continue that streak tonight when they face a hot goaltender in Seymon Varlamov. Varlamov has only allowed 3 goals total in his last 4 starts. etc... etc...

An around the league score recap after each period would be sweet too. Throw in some stat overlays during the game like top scorers, top defensemen, etc.. Trade rumors..

Crank up the immersion!!!

This is why I miss the PC version. Don't like the clock overlay? Make a new one with NBC or TSN or CBC or whomever you want. It was fun and the NHL was always coming out with some amazing stuff.

Yes. Going right along with that things like "that's Tarasenko's 30th goal of the season moving him into a tie with Rick Nash for second in scoring, just shy of Alex Ovechkin's league leading 32". Just statistical awareness. "In other action Pavel Datsyuk has two assists tonight tying him with TJ Oshie for 5th in scoring".

Re: Little things that you would like to see put back into the NHL series

I loved the blogs in the 2K sports games.
You could see what was happening all around the league. It really immersed you in the GM mode.

Basically, EA needs to add as much as possible so that you don't believe you're the only team that exists in the league.

Out of town scores while in-game. Cut screens with updated standings and playoff picture. League leaders and stats, stats, stats. This game needs all of that! Give us a reason not to skip over the stop-in-play. If the screens are stat based and not the same old generic cut screens then I would bet it would go a long way.

Agreed. It gets boring watching players skate or look up at the scoreboard. There needs to be variety in between the action and there isn't. Statistical splash screens would definitely spice things up.
