Re: Winnipeg Jets goal horn. Really?

Teams' goal horns are copyrighted, just like their celebration songs are.

In one of the Twitter AMAs, EA said that they tried to work with all 30 NHL teams to get every goal horn in the game this year, but they could only get around 20 or so into the game.

This is true.

But yet a product like this exists http://shop.nhl.com/catalog/product/...Remote_Control

They are not the multi-billion dollar corporation that EA is, but they must have sprung the extra few bucks to secure the whole allotment of sounds for their product.

Then blame the new gen consoles for not having abilities to import custom music and/or sound.

I have authentic goal horns for all teams in NHL 11 and 13 (PS3)..

Luckily the Jets don't need a goal horn very often.

The horn for the Blackhawks sounds pretty accurate, except for the fact that they only blow it twice in the game instead of three times like at the real "Chicago Stadium".... ugh

if they couldn't secure the UC license, no way they are getting the horn

Makes sense now that you've pointed that out. They really need to get that together for next year's game. It's a great stadium and a ridiculously awesome horn.
