Is there a way to slow down time in the game?

I don't own the game but have watched some live streams. It appears gameplay is better post-patch. The games I have watched have a super sped up clock. Is there a way to slow down the clock?

Yup. You just need to adjust the period length in settings. You can also change penalty scaling time.

Can you set it to real time so a 20 minute period is 20 minutes?

I was told on a thread here that even 20 minute periods (which is what I play) are not actually 20 minutes, though I have yet to test this out to confirm.

Yeah, I read the same thing on both this board and EAs. But, I also haven't tested it myself.

That's true, I play 10 minute periods, and 1 minute of playclock time is way less than 30 seconds real time.
