Skating animation?

Hey guys. Anyone see an animation where the skater locks up and stops moving his feet altogether when back checking or racing back in a sprint to puck? It has been a total deal breaker for me. I have found good sliders I like but to give up easy chances because my skater goes into a freeze animation is so frustrating. If I'm behind or dead even, seems to happen at least 3 times a game. Anyone else see this or have a suggestion?

Don't think there's any resolution for this problem. It even happens to me when playing online. I'll be holding the stick down to bring my player back on the backcheck and he just won't skate. Almost feels like for a second or two my controllers busted.
