Why are my goalies useless?

I play on all star sim (but really its custom because I adjusted the fighting slider and put attribute effects to max).

I play as the Ducks and John Gibson has an 80 % save rate. I just played a game where he gave up 4 goals on 6 shots. My team is 22-3-1. Most of the shots I give up are just average shots, usually from around the blue line. Or contest shots from between the circles (meaning I have a player in the vicinity). I dont give up many breakaways or easy chances, and I never give up rebound chances. But for some reason, my goalie who has an 88 overall is always last in the league in every stat. I dont have a problem scoring myself, but my goalies are completely useless.

Can't say I have much of an idea here; I have Roberto Luongo and his GAA is 2.23 and his save percentage is .928 on 15 min periods.

Also I'm 17-19-7 so I'm a bit baffled by your record as well. Hard to understand how you'd have a record like that but have poor goaltending.

I think you need to bump up the difficulty a bit.

I tried playing on superstar. But then my goalies become even more useless. Even though I dominate the puck poss. and triple the amount of shots, CPU still beats me.
