Input lag during Online Team Play (PS4)

I just tried playing this mode for the first time since its launch week and noticed that there is some pretty serious input lag going on.

All of my button presses are delayed by half a second or so.

Is anyone else seeing this on PlayStation 4? I can play regular Online Versus and Online HUT games without any lag. It's just Online Team Play that has very noticeable input delay.

You're not the only one. Seems to be a pretty prevalent issue too.
I see it in at least 1/3rd of my OTP games and have heard the same from a number of people.

And like you said, it's just on the input, there's no choppiness or stuttering of the game.
I've heard people chalk it up to poor matchmaking with EA's servers - no real separation of East/West/Euro connections. It's strange that it's mainly confined to input lag and not full on game lag.

But it is very noticeable - at least a half second, if not more - and ridiculously frustrating.

how is this even possible when 6 v 6 worked great on NHL 09 on PS3... makes no sense

I always thought that was from someone else having a weak internet connection making everyone lag with them, because their connection isn't strong. Same thing With Battlefield.

Just played a game on Xbone, it's unplayable it's so bad.

Coming back from a deployment, was gonna pick it up, but if online play is that bad will just wait till the fall then. Have not really been into the series since NHL 11.
