Unfortunately, this sums up the direction and focus of the EA dev. team. We are clamoring for the return of pre-existing modes and in a lot of cases minor improvements on current modes and instead we are getting flags and mist. While it is pretty cool and any step towards authenticity is much appreciated, these minor additions should not be the focal point of the new features.

LOL, I agree that this isn't stuff I care about.
At the same time, NHL 16's release is 4 months away so they have to leak stuff slowly.
And they always start with fluff material first.

Although I couldn't care less about authentic arena nuances, it appeals to a lot of other people so I can see why they start with it.

Those are the awesome touches we rave about in the Show, problem is the rest is so messed up we can't get excited about mascots and intros
