NHL 16 Change Cover? Kane being Investigated

As of this morning, one of the most beloved hockey players from the Chicago Blackhawks, Patrick Kane, is being investigated for rape in New York. A link to the report is shown below.


If there is any validity to the charges the folks at EA Sports might need to change the cover of NHL '16 sooner than later. Not to mention, this could be a huge black eye for the league itself.

we dont know that it is statutory or not yet.
none of the reports i have read say that.

i do however think he is a dumb ***.
should never be allowed to drink. if he is cleared of this, then i hope the league puts him in rehab. they did that for Theo Fluery.

NHL 2004 changed from Heatley to Sakic after Heatley had the car accident that killed Dan Snyder.

It's not a great look for the game regardless of whether Kane is guilty of anything or not. Probably don't want this kind of publicity associated with a product.

This is what I think they might do if they change anything.

I wish they would change it to John Tavares. The guy deserves it. Plus, Kane and Toews were already on the cover. If we are going to repeat covers then just put Crosby on the cover. I don't like him since I'm a Flyers fan, but the guy is the best in the world. Hands down, no questions asked.

I'll just repeat what I said in the off-season thread:

Way too early to draw any conclusions. Could be true, could be BS, could be impossible to prove either way. Just have to wait it out.
