Drop in game with friend

Anyone try this? Hit invite friend made game public but nothing happens, we just sit in the matchup screen solo.Not sure if I'm doing it right or it doesn't work.

inviting friends to EASHL drop-in matches are private. look at the top of the matchup screen. says it right there.

If they are private and the stats from game count towards your badges, I can see people easily abusing this. Not that I care about badges, but it seems silly to have a private game unless of course you can only play on the same team?

After you invite a friend you can change it to public by hitting L3 I assumed that people who select drop in would fill the other spots but nothing happens we can't start a game we just sit there .

did not realize you could hit L3. once i saw it say private i assumed that was the nuts&bolts of it. i was in there alone, however.

i'll have to try this with friends and report back as to whether we get a game or not.
