Hey guys,

same thing as the GM, but it's time to shout how our stars/abominations are doing! Here's my first episode!

well i started a BAP and i started in the CHL aged 17. im a two way forward and the first game, i ended up with 5 points, 3 goals 2 assists. i think i need to turn the difficulty up.

How do you like BAP this year, compared to previous years and compared to equivalent mode of other games (MLB Road To The Show, 2K MyCareer, etc.) ?

PS: I'd love to hear a in depth review of the Be A Pro mode, if you are ever searching for video ideas!

Just finished my first (and final) season in the OHL. Led the league in points and had 160+ points. Led the team to an OHL championship, and we lost in the memorial cup final. 72 overall sniper with high franchise potential. Got drafted in the 7th round by Arizona. Why do you hate me, EA?

As long as I'm not on the Kings or Ducks... Probably gonna sign with the Sharks whenever my contract ends.

On another note, the new progression system is awesome. I already have 4.5 star shooting and I have yet to play an NHL game

I'm having a lot of fun with Be A Pro so far.

There's something about being an offensive defenseman that I find really fun. I love playing sound defense and cutting off passing lanes, but I also love jumping in on offense from time to time. I look for assists long before shooting for myself. I don't know what it is, but assisting on a goal is almost more satisfying than scoring one myself!

I haven't played Be A Pro in the NHL series since probably 2013 on 360. It seems like the teammate AI is MUCH improved since then. I remember the last time I played BAP, kind of rolling my eyes at the AI. But I don't do that nearly as often in this game.

I love that you can play a full season in the CHL (even thought I'd like it better if you could play NCAA) before going into the draft.

I'm playing with Erie (yes, with McDavid... haha)

I'm hanging right there with him as the leading scorer for the team!

This. I've played about 20 games so far in the OHL and i'm second in the league points after McDavid. Then my agent says that in this pace i'll be drafted late or not at all! Wtf is up with be a pro, has always been buggy

I love the development system. It really feels like it rewards you for what you do well, and punishes you for what you do not do well.

I just played a game where I took two penalties (slashing and delay of game), afterwards, my poise and discipline took a bit of a hit.

Yeah the XP system is cool. I'm not really sure how the levels work though... Like do all your points in a category go up if you level up?

In 11 games in the WHL, I am a LW Sniper with 11 G, 6 A and 17 points. My only complaints are the CPU gets me the puck too much (if I went to the net as much as I'd like to, I would have 15 shots a game), and just like always, the game is dependent on me scoring. If I don't score, my teammates don't do enough. And my +/- drives me nuts. We're 4-6-1, and yet I'm a +14. That's too high. Getting assists is near impossible, I probably have 10-12 passes in the slot/by the net each game and generally 0 assists. The PP is 1-39 as well....I love the mode, I just wish I didn't have to be the focal point of the team in order to win.

What game settings are you guys using? I started a BaP on authentic and the game just takes too long so I started over on classic 8 minute periods and it seemed to take even longer. It was agonizing trying to get to the end. I'm guessing it's better to play 4-5 minute periods?

Hey guys I have a question.. which on-ice trainer option(s) do I need to turn on in order to see the "good saucer pass" or "good shot" prompts above my player in-game? I dont want to see shot aids, pass aids, or positional aids, I only want to see when my player has earned or lost xp for a given action. Thnks!
